How to turn the date and time feature off

The time it took the picture? You want to know if the camera will show the time it took the picture using the self timer?

My answer is Yes and No.

Do you have your camera set to showing the date and time on the pictures now? If you do, then using the self timer would not change anything.

If you do have it set to showing on the picture and you don't want the date and time to show then change the setting on the menu function of the camera and turn this option off.

If you do not already have the camera set to show the date and time, using the self timer option is not going to make it suddenly appear.

Assuming the camera is working, with the camera off, rotate the mode dial so that the icon with the wrench lines up as the active mode. Then press the Power button and turn on the camera. Press the right arrow to select Custom Menu. Then press the down arrow to select Date and Time. Then press the OK button. Use the left and right arrows to select a part of the date to change and use the up arrow to increase the value and slide the zoom lever to down button to decrease the value.Press the OK button when the date and time (24 hour clock) is properly set.

Goto setup and then date to set the date and time.

Press the Menu button. Use the arrows to select the Setup menu. Use the arrows to select the Date/Time Stamp feature. Turn off the feature. Press the OK button.

There is no date and time to be set on the 5022.

There will be a setting where you tell it to add the time and date by choosing ON. This is different to where you set the time and date. Generally it is within your menu and may be with ""setup menu"" and called "date stamp". If you set this to "on" it should do the trick.

Go to the Capture Menu. In the Capture menu, you can determine the conditions you would like to choose such as Size, Quality, Scene, EV, White Balance, ISO, Color, Saturation, Sharpness and Date Imprint. Press the MENU button and then scroll through the options. Choose "Date Imprint" option and then change it to OFF so that the Date will not be showed on the captured image. The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every photo in its EXIF metadata. Please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your photos. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
