My guess is the stacking of the dishes. Make sure not to have them touching each other, and don't load so that a dish, bowl, or pot etc. is blocking a central water jet...

Glasses do not come clean in the upper rack but do in the lower. Is there someplace that should be cleaned out to make the upper rack work again

Not knowing what dish washer you have I would check on the sprayer make sure it turns or is not blocked in any way. If the water can't spray up you will not get clean dishes.

Top dish rack dishes don't get clean model 8575637

Most dishwashers have a rotating spray bar underneath the upper rack. Over time bits of food can clog up the holes and then dishes won't get clean in the upper rack. Check to make sure all the holes in the spray bar are clear and that it is rotating freely.

Wont clean dishes

The little holes in the spary arms can block with general gunge etc. We use toothpicks, skewers to clear them. That sometimes helps.

Dishes are always dirty, maybe even dirtier after running dishwasher. has hot water, lower arm moves.

Check the outlet holes on both spray arms for clogs. If necessary, remove the spray arms, clean out the holes and empty out any debris inside the spray arms. Verify that the upper arm is turning also.

If the machine does not drain completely at the end of the cycle, the pump drain outlet is partially blocked and you are retaining dirty water for the next load.

You may have a chemistry problem - inferior soap, empty rinse agent dispenser, or extremely hard water.

Improper arrangement of the dishes can prevent some from being washed. Make sure no dish blocks the spray to another.

We have a GE dishwasher with upper and lower sprayers. The upper sprayer (one located right under top rack) won't spray or turn which leaves the dishes in upper rack dirty, any suggestions on how to fix...

try c.l.r. to clean dishwasher check and clean lower and upper spray arms out, run no detergent you can also run vinegar in it as well about a cup full, let the machine start to run then stop dish washer for a few hours then restart see if this works for you use a short cycle.
