2002 trailblazer lack of engine power light

I went to start my car and it started but shut right off. Started again, I turned off radio and it kept going, so turned radio on & it shut down. Couple of hours later husband went out & asked it I had gas in it. Should be between 1/4 & 1/2 tank...he starts it and gauge says it is full, then shhots all of the way over to empty & lack of power light comes on. Also recently my heat only works on #4 setting, 1,2,3 & 5 do not work.

I am willing to bet a lot that there is a bad ground from the battery to the chassis of the vehicle. In addition to the ground wire that goes to the engine block, there should be another wire from the battery negative terminal to the sheet metal of the car. Bet is it corroded or loose. If you cannot find this wire it might be because the MFG ran a wire from the engine to the sheet metal somewhere around the back of the engine. You can run another wire frokm the Batt- term to the sheet metal. Maybe put one terminal under some accessory that screws to the sheet metal.

Good luck

I have a 2002 2500hd and i have power to radio and lights until i got to start it then i loose all power

Have you checked the Solenoid? That would be why the starter would keep engaging, but not start. You might also want to check the Voltage Regulator, and the sensors. Here is a page of images that might help you with identification.

2002 Neon. Radio shut off, lights went off and heat shut off, and started idling bad. Eventually it staled. Put in a new battery and it started right up. Next day same thing. Is it the altenator or wiring...

sounds like the regulator is bad in the altenator. Start vehicle and disconnect negative cable from battery. If it stays running you have another problem. If it stalls out right away the altenator isnt working.

You need to get the fault code scanned to be able to get an idea of where the problem is. It's possible you have a coil pack that goes bad when it heats up.

You need to get the fault codes read to determine where the problem is that set the SES light. Autozone will scan your car at no charge. At some point you will need to get a mechanic involved to further diagnose the codes.

Trail blazer won't start. Can not remove key.

CHECK YOUR BATTERY CABLE CONNECTIONS SOUNDS LIKE ONE IS NOT MAKING A GOOD CONNECTION. TRY TO CLEAN THEM AND REINSTALL. CHECK FOR SHORTING OUT CABLE BETWEEN POSITIVE POST AND STARTER.

Your problem is either the Alternator isent charging its 13.5 volts and the battery is flat or wont hold the charge SO do this.
Jump start engine again let it run for 2 minutes then turn on lights,, the head lights should go bright at 13.5 volts. it engine cuts out..and the lights dont go bright,, then the Alternator is not charging,,,, If they go bright and still cuts out the batterys NO GOOD.
Replace battery or get it checked outit must hold 12volts all the time Let me know how you get on.

2003 Trailblazer- no power after key stuck in ignition

Sounds like an antitheft problem I would start with the antitheft system. Usually when you only have one key all keys have to be programmed together even the original. When you have more than one it is easy to program additional keys.
