The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Thanks but I need the date stamp as part of the image .jpg file - the EXIF file is not uploaded to my PC and I need to be able to forward the photo to others complete with the date stamp. This is easy with my Minolta camera as I just set the camera to stamp each photo and the job is done. Is there any way I can get the Lumix camera to do similar?

The EXIF data is part of the image JPG file. If you forward the file to someone else the data will be included. The DMC-FX3 will not mar your images by scrawling a string of numbers across them. The closest it will come is to record the vacation day on the photo. See the "Recording which Day of the Vacation You Take the Picture" section of the manual.

Many thanks, I have now found the date and time attribute in MS Picture Manager - so I just need to find some software to print it.

SOURCE: how do you date stamp panasonic lumix photo

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every photo in its EXIF metadata. This data stays with the photo unless explicitly removed. Just about any photo viewing/editing program should be able to show you this data. If you want to print the date, please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Lumix DMC-TZ5 - Adding Time and Date stamp to photos

  • Make sure you have set the date and time correctly on your camera.
  • View the picture you want to Time stamp, by changing left hand slider to green icon.
  • Press the circular 'Menu/Set' button
  • Press down arrow to get to playback mode in the onscreen menu.
  • Press right arrow to access this menu.
  • Press down arrow until 'text stamp' is highlighted.
  • Press right arrow to select.
  • Choose whether to apply stamp to single or multiple photos
  • Press 'Menu/set' to select photo to stamp.
  • Choose which stamps to add. Date, time, age etc..
  • Press 'Menu/set' again and select the 'Yes' box.

The only problem with this is that it will re-size your photos to about 3m, which can make them grainier if you took them at a higher resolution. Unfortunately there is no other way to time stamp your photos on this camera.

How do I date stamp my photos on a Lumix FZ70?

Your photos all have a date stamp as well as all the camera settings when shot and are revealed in your editing software. I don't know how to have the date printed on the face of the photo. You can download the 226 page manual at http://panasonic.ca/viewing/ALL/DMC-FZ70P/OI/vqt5b76/vqt5b76.pdf

How to show time and date stamp on my photos using

May not be a way to do it. Personally, I think it is a poor thing to do. When you put the time & date on a picture this way, it cannot be easily removed. Since the EXIF data has this and much more information, you can always add it later.
