Brand new vinotemp wine fridge. If i set it to 58 degrees, it holds to 62 degrees. if i set it to 62 degrees it holds to 65 degrees. and when it tries to get cooler, it makes a loud whirring sound, reaches the colder temperature and then slowly gets warmer again and holds on the warmer termperature where it remains silent.

You may need to change the cooling system on the unit if the unit is free of dust and still does not cool.

SOURCE: Do you carry the thermostat for vinotemp wine

You can purchase replacement parts for virtually all Vinotemp coolers directly from Vinotemp. Some parts are listed/available on Vinotemp.com (http://www.vinotemp.com/Browse.aspx/446/Replacement-Parts) But otherwise, just give their service department a call or shoot them an email and you can confirm the part number and purchase the required part.

The thermostat may be bad. Test it with multimeter set in "ohm" to confirm that is defective before replacing.

What is the best temperature for white wine to be in?

It is important to keep the wine cool and in stable temperature that doesn't fluctuate very often. Bright tart white wine: 48-52 degrees; sparkling wine: 50-55 degrees and rich white wines: 58-62 degrees.

Vinotemp 2 zone wine cooler flashes "Lo" on numeric display for lower compartment - will not hold temperature requested. Temp in upper compartment will not go below 67 even though it is set for 51. Room...

Not sure, but did you clean the filter in the back? Ours has that, and the temp starts creeping up every few weeks until I clean it. But we've never been able to get it below 58 or so, and in the last year, not below 60. I think that's just the nature of this type of cooling. Our house is also at 80. But, can keep it at 60 with the above cleaning.

Vinotemp VT-16TEDS has light on but doesn't cool

First check the grating over the fan in the back. If it is covered with dust, there won't be enough air flow and the unit won't cool. Clean the dust off and see if it cools back down. It may take a long time to cool down if it is full of wine, so I recommend taking the wine out to test if it works.

Vinotemp not cooling

You can fix this for $5. You can confirm the problem by taking the back off and see of the red and green led on the circuit board are flashing. They will be steady if the board is ok. The fan is usually just rocking too like it is trying to start. The part is a capacitor and is $5, but you will need to be able to remove and solder this part on the circuit board. If you need the part, just let me know.
