Viking vuwc141 wine cooler not cold anymore.

dead, and PC power good to it. and not ICING up as the manual warns and why. on mine the carp's mounted it in front of web bar,and no air can get to it (called a bad INSTALLER) all Refers must have fresh are to the condenser core and so it can not cool so I slid it back 1 inch and see a gap now, top and air now flows, to back side easy (amazing easy fix) 2005 model and still works today, just 30seconds work. also same cause for the compressor overheat sensor to trip, same cause same cure. cause 2, condenser fan dead or only packed up in lint. rtm https://www.manualslib.com/products/Viking-Vuwc140-4057175.html free. bad thermostat bad power on switch. also see the complex AC control option if present. last pages.

My vt60 winw cooler doesnt cool , it will show the degrees you want to set it at then few seconds later it goes back to the room temp. of 76...also makes clicking noise to start compressor then again

Sounds like the compressor is frozen - sound you hear is the clixon a special sort of resettable fuse on compressors. When they do not start or overheat, it kills the power - when it cools power is restored until it reheats again and ....................... Use ammeter to confirm this - it will show a much greater than normal current draw.

Vinotemp not staying cool, it's

Step 1:

It's most likely the PTC (Positive Temperature Compensated) start relay that turns the compressor on and off. The manufacturer has replaced part number P6R8MC with part number 6R8MG for this PTC start relay. Order part number 6R8MG, it cost less than $20.First, unplug the wine cooler and take off the back panel. The back panel is held into place with several philips head screws.

Step 2:

Locate the compressor. You'll find the compressor in the bottom left corner of the VT-60 as viewed from the back. You will see copper tubes coming out of the compressor. These tubes carry the compressed refrigerant to the evaporator assembly. Be careful not to crimp or damage the copper tubing.

Step 3:

Find the black plastic cover to the left of the compressor. This cover is held into place with one philips head screw. Remove the screw and remove the cover to find the PTC start relay.

Step 4:

The replay is connected to the compressor by a single blade connector and two pins which protrude from the compressor. Remove the blade connector and pull the PTC relay to the left, sliding it off the pins attached to the compressor.

Step 5:

Slide the relay on the connector pins, reattach the blade connector, reattach the black pastic cover over the relay, reattach the back panel onto the VT-60 and you're done.

Why won't my VT60 hold a temperature in the high 50's any longer? It is at 74 and won't let me change it to the 50's.

Make sure all the dust is removed from coils, fan blades and intake vent grill / filter!!! drain the condensation collection pan, and then reset the thermostat and wait 24 hours; before checking the temperature with a digital temp. gauge.

Compressor stopped working. I unplugged it

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

It stop working and there is a clicking noise in

first unplug unit for a few hours . remove back . under there there is a compressor and a fan plug in did the fan motor start itself ? if not touch blade a little , did it start now ? if so you have a bad fan motor ( real common with this cooler ) if the fan allways ran no problem you have a bad start relay on the compressor ( this is another real common problem ) you need to order a fan motor and or a start relay from vinotemp . on an order i made a week ago they had the motor but not the relay (relay kit ) it was on backorder , you may get lucky i just looked i do not have the phone #with me but you can fiind it on there website (thats where i found it ) good luck ps :on second thought dont play around , order the fan motor and the relay together no mater if the fan is working or not , even if it is it will not be for long Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .

The temperature was set in

This uses a temperature sensor and control board.

Vino temp @ 1-800-777-8466

The "clunk" noise sounds like the internal compressor motor mounts have broken.
