SOURCE: printer won't print
I've had this 6110xi all-in-one for a few years now. Everytime I have the "no-printing" issue I need to unplug the printer, and leave it unplugged overnight. The problem magically goes away in the morning.
I've installed the printer on a separate computer while it was having a "no-printing" episode and still couldn't print there either. So it sounds like there's something funky with the printer internal cache requiring a long power-down.

two options
1)either any of the printer cartridge is faulty.remove the cartridge and clean it with tissue paper.
2)or the printouts are pending in printque.delete all the printouts and then try .
any one of the above options will solve the problem.
if cleaning the cartridge does not solve that means it faulty so replacement of cartridge is necessary.

Hi Girlemom. Just had the same problem here. Lift up the lid and slide the ink cartridges to the left. If they are stuck in the middle, this will prevent the printer from starting properly. Then, unplug it, plug back in, and turn on. It should restart normally.

This error occurs when the chips on the cartridges are not recognised. Re-seat all cartridges and ensure they are pushed down firmly. Sliding a business card down the rear of the cartridges will help push the chips into the sensors for recognition. If this fails the chips may be faulty OR have been short circuited - note that even one faulty chip is highly unlikely, get it services to get the problem fixed.
