When turning on it flashes ck cable. and cables are fine

the bios settings maybe set to boot from network or from usb before Ide or sata and if it can not boot from there is reports a boot failure,, usually only stating failure or cable disconnected and goes on the the next boot device,
in windows if you have it set to enable network or log on to network at boot, it will attempt to log on the the network or all networks, if you are not connected to a network through a Ethernet cable it will give you a failure message saying cable damaged or disconnected and look for networks on other devices including wireless

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

Atheros AR500EG wireless Network adapter tired

Well those are actually PCI cards. You can have the wifi card replaced or buy a USB WIFI adapter as that would be cheaper.

The xbox live adaptor goes red

Red means hardware failure.
If they are steady red, that means they are ready to be connected to a network (must have been knocked off the router).

In the 360 System Dboard, go to the system blade and select Network Settings, then Edit Settings, and then Wireless Mode.
Test the connection finally.

I had a power failure while I was sleeping one night and the computer shut down along with my wireless. I had to setup my wireless all over again. If you still have your installation manual, just install it again and it should work. its a hassle but sometimes you have to. Good Luck.

Failure in transmision

So are you saying you have two different wireless Access points for a small network? Could they be interfering with each other? I looked up the products and they seem a little more complex than a small network might need.

Maybe try only one at a time, and since you can connect via wire, you should be able to access the router/abp via the web page, and see what channel it is on and the ssid, and verify that the wireless features are on. After that, try rebooting the apb, waiting a few minutes, and do a search for wireless networks.

I would not expect a random failure on both transmission and reception, so breaking it down to each component may help. Can any wireless network search see either ap when only one is active?

I wold recommend a single, simple consumer wireless router, dlink or netgear maybe, as they have seemed a bit more straight forward to me than the trendnet faqs I pulled up. If the investment is sunk, trying the above may help narrow the problem.
