When I print pics off my pic file, the pic comes out in a mirror image? I am using a HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One Printer. Also when I try to print 4x6 pics from my files using proper HP paper, it tells...

Hello,

When you go to print something next time, click on Preferences on the Print window. Click on the Advanced tab. There should be a Mirror Image choice and it probably says ON. Click on the ON and change it to OFF with the drop-down menu. Click OK. That should correct the mirror image problem.

As for the paper, I have a hard time printing on 4X6 paper too. Seems to be a common problem with HP. If you would like to accept the mirror image solution and post a separate on, you should get another expert to help you.

In the meantime I will try to research it further.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Mirror image printing

When you first click on print a window opens with boxes at the bottom. If you choose printing preferences another box will open where you can turn off mirror image printing.

Printing Backwards

You must have the Mirror image option turned on.

Open a document and select File>Print.

When the Print window opens, select the "Preferences" or "Properties". button.

Click on the Advanced tab. Look for the Mirror Image option. If it says "On", click on it and you will get a drop down menu to change it to "Off".

(BTW, the Mirror Image is used for printing iron-on transfers.)

Printer printing backwards on two users but not the main one

Compare the default printing preferences (Start>Settings>Printers and Faxes) Right-click on the printer icon and select Properties and Printing Preferences. Look for the option to print Mirror image used for printing T-shirt Iron-ons and uncheck the box.

HP L7555

When you select "Print" and get the print window to confirm....select "Preferences". On the Advanced or Effects tab, look for the "Mirror Image" menu item. Turn it Off. If you cannot find it, comment back.

(BTW, the Mirror Image option is normally used to print t-shirt transfers.)

HP L7580 printer prints mirror image

  • Go to the Printers Menu and select Add Printer
  • Add a Local Printer
  • Create a new port - type: local port
  • For the port name, enter the share of your printer on the remote computer.  For example, if your computer name is superDesktop and the printer share name is megaPrinter, you'd type in \\superDesktop\megaPrinter.
  • Finish the wizard and you're done, printing normally!

Mirror images only

hopefully you have fixed this problem by now----if not, go to control panel bt clicking start then settings or could be start then control panel. WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS THE PRINTERS AND FAXES FOLDER. once you have found that, right click on the HP Officejet Pro L7500 Series (or whatever your printer name is) and choose printing preferences. go to the advance tab. look for mirror image and click on it you will be given a small drop down to toggle it from on to off----choose off and the click on apply and then OK.
