Call senseo at 866-4-736-736 866-4-Senseo and describe the problem. it is the seaing mechanisim at the top brewwing portion that is loose, either you are not closing it right or the pressure is getting too high forthe seal.

if you have purchased or received it as a gift less than two years ago they will send a new one FREE.

Why is my coffeemaker leaking from the bottom?

  1. Make sure the filter is properly in position and that the brew basket is fully closed.
  2. If the coffeemaker is equipped with a removable water reservoir ensure that the reservoir is properly installed.
  3. Avoid overfilling the water reservoir. The coffeemaker is equipped with an overflow slot near the top of the water reservoir. If too much water is added it will flow out of this slot and collect near the base of the unit.
  4. The coffeemaker may require service. Contact an Authorized Service Center.

Our Senseo Coffeemaker switches off half way through running a coffee.

You have to clean the unit. It must have calcium deposits, preventing it to heat the water properly. The unit overheats and the thermostat shuts it down.

My senseo coffeemaker has stopped pumping hot water through the coffee pods. What do I do to fix it?

When was the last time you clean it with vinegar? Run vinegar through it and you will see hard water scales that were built on the heater. Coffee makers should be clean out every month then with 2 rinse cycles after that.

Blinking power button

The power button blinks when it is heating the water up prior to use. It should switch off automatically when the water has boiled.

Water flow

Add one cup of white vinegar and fill the rest with water. Run this mixture through. Do it one more time if it does not run faster. After doing this run regular water through the system three times and i believe your problem will be solved!

We find water under the coffeemaker in the morning.

Sounds like a leaking water pipe from the water source, unless you have a over temp heater and this results in steam and dripping.

My senseo is leaking water more than brewing coffee

The leaking out onto the counter is coming from the reservoir. I had the same problem and was about to throw my Senseo out. Here's how to fix it.
When you put the reservoir back onto the Senseo the bottom fits into a hole that is surrounded by a rubber seal. The seal appears to be attached to the bottom side of the plastic shelf that the reservoir sits on. The problem is that the seal has pulled partly away from the plastic surface to which it is attached allowing water to leak onto the counter. Put a little glob of clear silicone sealer (like you use around glass) onto the end of your little finger and work that along the upper edge of the seal where it meets the plastic shelf. You want to be sure you go all the way around and that you squeeze the sealant into the crack between the seal and the plastic. When you're finished, wipe off any excess and make sure that the inside edge of the seal (that fits around the nozzle from the reservoir) is free of any excess silicone. Let it dry for a day and you're ready to go. I did mine and it works great now. No more leaks.
