My sewing machine Janome Model 2139N only sews in reverse. I have pushed the reverse button many time to avail. Help--Donna

Does it have a manual or does the company have a video showing how? Try getting a manual from this link:

I searched the internet using https://www.google.comI only saw parts for that model number. Could it be named New Home in order to search or request manuals?I saw a youtube video for a different model showing a technician carefully opening a machine to repair a similar problem. You need to raise the feed dog or increase the pressure on the foot

The Janome JD1822 has a reverse button on the right side (motor section) of the sewing machine. It's roughly on the same level as the sewing bed below the stitch width indicator window. Press and hold the button for the entire period that you wish to sew backwards.

Do not attempt to open your machine unless the manual instructs you to do so. Some newer computerized sewing machines require maintenance only in the bobbin area. Trying to open the cover in other areas could break it.

I am having the same problem. Initially it did sew forward, but now only sews in reverse. The large grey lever on the right front of the machine should make it sew in reverse only as long as it is held down, but mine sews in reverse only. Hmmmm....think there are many people with this problem.
