What you could possibly try, is run an empty load, to wash the washer drum clean of sediment. If the washing macine drum is stained, clean it by hand with a cleaning compund, like clorox or some other kind of cleaning solution. Another thing that you can try, is to use the dish washer cleaning solution that they sell, to clean dish washers of sediment. It comes in a small white, plastic square container and Walmart sells it.

To take greasy spots on laundered shirt?

Several techniques may be attempted. Most say give it a second go if the first attempt does not fully do the job. Bur ALWAYS read the laundering instructions for the particular fabric. None of these are for silk or delicate fabrics.

1 The Baking soda method
Combine table spoon of glycerin and dishsoap in 1.5 cups warm water in spray bottle. Spray. Let soak 20 min.. Wash in cold water with table spoon of baking soda added. Hang to dry.
2 Just the dish soap method
Soap it, rub the fabric together, let is set an hour, wash it out with cold water.
3 Laundry detergent method
Same as 2 but use laundry detergent.
4 Other alternatives to dab the stain with on a paper towel, then wash out. (One per trial, not a mixture. Wash out before next.)
  • Shampoo
  • Aloe vera gel
  • Hairspray
  • Cornflour or baby powder
  • WD-40
  • Rubbing alcohol

My HE top load Kenmore is staining all of my dress shirts. from small little spots to large massive areas. I am wondering what it is. I have ruined about 50 shirts so far. Could it be the soap?

If they were all in the same load, something must have fallen into/got mixed with the load, such as ink pen, etc. Full washer with hot water and add cleaning agent such as ammonia or plain detergent to clean the washer cycle.
To clean those shirts, add a 1/4 c of "Simply Green" / The Green Stuff ($ store brand) to temp appropriate water, directly spray on spots and let soak a few minutes, then wash (with or without detergent) and do a double rinse cycle. Naptha or Zote laundry BAR soap are good as "detergent". HTH

Kenmore 70 series, leaves browb lines on clothes. is there cleaning procedure for the washer?

It could be coming from your fabric softner. I know when I use liquid fabric softner I get oily looking stains on clothes. I no longer use liquid softner. I also use Dawn dish soap in my washer. I use Dawn instead of any other stain removers. Dawn dish soap works on everything.

Spots on clothes after washing

Put another filter on before the washer. Try to find out if it is in the hot water or the cold. If it is the cold try a filter. If it is the hot, replace your hot water tank.

"fabric softner staining the clothes"

make sure you delute it with water. yes fabric softner will start to stain your clothes if you use too much of it. I would recomend stop useing it for a while. so you can clean the washer out. There is a product called Washer magic or Affresh that cleans out residues built up in your washer. or you can just run several loads of HOT water and bleach to clean it out. The hot water will melt the left over fabric softner in your washer. Fabric softner is kind of like hardend bacon fat thats what it looks like in your washer after time and if you do not clean your washer it builds up and builds up.
Also i do recomend alternating liquid detergent and powdered detergent. The reason why is powder leaves a residue that liquid takes away and vise versa. try this and let me know how it goes

Stains

Apparently the residue is fatty buildup from fabric softener. Try filling it up with the warmest water possible and add some bicarb to dissolve it, then rinse a few times to get it out of the machine completely. Then use vinegar instead of softener for most washes, or dilute fabric softener with water 1:4 and occasionally rinse with bicarb. This works for me.

Whirlpool duet fabric softner problem

It obviously is backed up or splashed in from the wash. And if it is just water why worry about it.

Mile 864 front loader - clothes come out with new grease marks

Problem will be the use of fabric softner or too much detergent. The stain you are seeing is generally to animal fat that is present in fabric softner, Best solution is to cut back on the amount of softner being used, same with powder.
