Volume bar won't go away

Sometimes after I use the quick/touch volume buttons a big volume bar pops up in the middle of the screen, and i can't make it go away unless i exit the program or close my laptop. That's just to much of a pain how do I get this Volume bar go away.
I have similar problem, but no touch keys. A volume bar has appeared in the lower center of my notebook screen and it is not functional, not affected by the volume control in the task bar and it remains on top of all windows. Sometimes it seems as if it were painted on the screen (it's not!) Right clicking on the desktop offers graphics setting adjustments but they have no affect on the low to high horizontal non-functional volume bar. HELP!

How do I remove volume icon from the middle of my iPad screen?

You might try this...you can set your side button on upper left corner edge of ipad to either mute volume or lock screen (stop it from rotating). Check how yours is set...Go into settings>general>Use side switch to:
see if it is set on mute. If it is switch it to Lock Rotation. Now that side switch will lock or unlock screen rotation.
See if that might stop your volume icon from popping up. Good luck!

Phillips 170B volume adjustment bar automatically pops up

Usually for the volume bar to just pop up something would have pressed the volume button. It is possible that the volume button has gotten a malfuntion on it and this makes it to pop-up all the time. Try getting underneath the volume button cleaned. But preferably this should be done by an expert.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

How do you turn up the volume on the Tom Tom. Sometimes when I run my finger across the bottom it shows the volume but now I can't get it to show up.

Generally it should be on the bottom left hand corner. It you touch the area where "no route planned " is shown, the volume bar pops out. If this is not happening, follow this procedure. Tap on : the main screen. Tap on : Change preferences. If the sound is turned off, you will see a green button that says turn on sound. Tap on it. Else Tap on : Arrow. Tap on : Volume preferences. It shows an info screen. Jjust tap on it. On the next page that opens, increase the volume. Also select link volume to car speed as it is a good option. Tap on : test Tap on : Done.

Light-up volume bars on the hp pc notebook dv7 1132nr

Hi Folks....
If you are talking about the Quick Launch buttons of the Notebooks from where we usually increase, decrease or mute the Volume, the lights will be still and will not increase or decrease with the increase or decrease in Volume.
However, you do have a utility which should be preinstalled in Notebooks called HP Quick Touch which shows the bars on the Display when the volume is Increased or Decreased  using the Quick Launch buttons. This application is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit edition.
The HP Quick Touch application is available for download from the link below :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38358.exe

Save the file in the Notebook and double click it once the download is completed to install the application.
Hope this helps....

Problem

I understand that when you try to increase the volume the programs freezes.

To isolate the issue please uninstall HP Quick Touch Software.

Here are the steps to uninstall HP Quick Touch Software.

Click start and select Control Panel

Then select Programs

Then select Programs and Features.

This will show list of programs

There select HP Quick Touch Software and click on uninstall/Remove.

Then restart the Notebook . This should resolve the issue.

Thanks.
