Oven door isn't closed tightly on both sides.

The top of the door of the oven seems ajar. The bottom of the door seems to fit snug. We have the double side by side model and the smaller oven door fits more tightly. Is there a way to adjust the door?

If it is a door that lifts up and down, then the only solution is to replace both door hinges, as they are not normally adjustable, it is the springs that are weak.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Oven door closes but does not fit snugly against the face of body of oven. have taken door out and put back in/on with no joy, owner of oven thinks it has been like this since new.

It is like that on the bottom, of my own door of my oven.
Since new! On the older oven I had, you lifted the door and it's hinges up and out and the door came off to make the old way of cleaning the oven easier - when you put it back on, the door would pull up tight on all sides - new ones' seem to have a gap

Hi. Just need to know if the oven door is adjustable on our AEG double oven cooker? The bottom oven seems to 'leak' hot air slightly from the top right hand corner and when you press on the same point the...

Hi there is no adjustment. to fix it you will need to change both hinges on the door. Some models have a roller which may need changing (on the oven frame where the hinges are located)if the door is creaking when opened or closed. wherever you go for parts you wil need the model and product no from the oven located around the door area.

Both oven doors do not close properly. lights stay on & can't heat properly with doors not closing tight. is there an adjustment for these doors?

We have similar Jen Air double oven and with the same problem but only on the lower oven. The doors are interchangeable and the top door fits fine but the lower door will not close completely at the top. It does turn out the light but has never cooked properly. I checked with several appliance repair shops and the hinges are not adjustable, but since one door closes and our other doesn't it is not a hinge problem, just a defective design.

We let this go too long and are out of warranty so I doubt Jennair is going to do anything. I hope someone post a solution but it is clearly not problem with the henges but with the receptacle they go into.

My Wolrd Pool Double Oven Door will not close all

same problem, I tried to adjust the level and tip the oven back, but that didn't work either.
Two options exist, change the hinges, or close the door with a hammer handle between the door and oven. Place the handle down low by hinge, then push the door closed very firmly to pull the hinge outward a bit.

Electrolux Oven EOG9330

Hope this helps (technique used on EOG9330XN):
1) With the door open, on each hinge, there is a top cover which lies flush with the hinge. Simply swing this cover up and back towards you. This unlocks the hinge. Undo both and carefully close the door, holding it at the bottom. The door should be able to be pulled away from the frame now. Lay the door on a flat surface.
2) The oven will normally be attached to the surrounding built-in cupbpard. If so, unscrew all attachment screws (mine had at least three per side) and pull the whole oven out about seven inches, supporting if neccessary. Each side panel has a locating screw in bottom front corner, so remove the screw. Peel back the side panel (only thin alloy, but watch for sharp edges) sufficiently to see.....
3) The two side securing screws for the door hinge receiver should be visible. After pulling receiver forward, if loose, tighten securing screws (use lock washers if available, as Electrolux don't provide them).
4) Reverse the procedure to finish job, fitting the door in the near vertical position to engage hinges in the receivers. Support the door, lower to open position and flip the locking hinge covers back.
[This technique works if the hinges aren't worn and if the door doesn't close properly, it usually means that the receivers are loose and have been pushed back into the oven frame].
