Gas furnace continually running

My furnace runs for about a minute and turns off with a rumble and then starts immedietly right back up. I see it ignite but I do not feel warm air coming out of the vents. My thermostat is set to 69 degrees and it is currently at 67.

We have a 2019 Forest River Berkshire XL 40D Motor Home. When we turn the furnace on in the living room on it starts and stops after about a minute. We can't get it to run.

These newer furnaces start a ventilating fan to exhaust any gas that may have accumulated before they actually open the gas valve and try igniting. If it does not actually ignite, it could be because of a stuck or faulty air flow switch by your blower. Find your furnace model and serial number then do a search on internet for wiring diagram. From that you should be able to tell all the things that have to go right for the furnace to run right and actually heat your 'home'. When my RV furnace failed to ignite, I found that the problem was a stuck gas valve that just needed a gentle tap. Of course this was after hours of trouble shooting.

I have a coleman furnace model 4066A656

Make sure your air filter is clean. Is the thermostat satisfied? or is the room temp. still below the thermostat setting? When ever you have to turn the power off and then back on to a furnace that usually indicates that the furnaces ignition control locked out. The first thing that I would try is cleaning the flame rod.

Furnace starts and ignites and fan comes on but when thermostat is turned off the gas shuts off and flame off but furnace continues to run. whu?? any suggestions?

The fan normally runs for a few minutes or so after the gas shuts off.

This removes the heat from the furnace and transfers it into the living space instead of just letting it possibly cause overheating of the furnace until it dissipates. If it is a fan that blows outside, that fan also needs to run for a few minutes to clear exhaust gasses from the furnace - to keep them from dissipating into your home.

Hello, sounds like the limit switch is opening on the furnace.Usually when a furnace goes off on its high limit is becuase the airflow is being restricted making the furnace overheat. a limit switch is there to protect the furnaace from overheating, most cuases are either dirt or the blower motor not running up to speed, anything that cuts down on the airflow will cause the high limt switch to open.

If your furnace lights and the gas stays on for 8 to 10 seconds, then shuts right back off, then you need to clean your flame sensor with light sand paper or steel wool. You might need a new flame sensor, but most of the time they can be cleaned an will work well after cleaning.

Intertherm propane furnace makes popping sound when running

It sounds like you have a possible hole in the heat exchanger. Turn the heat off and turn the fan on. If you feel any air coming back out of the heat exchanger, you have a hole. A yellow flame is not a good sign. I would even consider having a service professional come out and take a look.
