Intertherm mobile home a/c wires are burnt near the capicator

The little black box is a relay. The wires being melted means ,of course, that the contacts inside the box are pitted or corroded. You really should call a reputable repair man.

I have a 1983 intertherm gas-fired furnace in my mobile home model MGH-045AAC. i started it up last week and used it off and on through the week and it was working fine , but i noticed that after it

change fan motor capacitor. the other issue could be low gas pressure. mine acted that way when i was running low on propane.

I have an old Intertherm gas-fired furnace, Model

Tom P's answer is generally correct: The motor start capacitor is usually not the problem. However, in some cases, particularly on older furnaces, where there were capacitors of certain make and production run will prematurely fail. This happened in March on a mobile home HVAC unit where both the blower fan and condenser fan motor capacitors failed open circuit. Both caps were of the same Mfg, and production lot. Here is a suggestion (for you or an electrically inclined friend): Locate a substitute motor capacitor having similar Mfd (or MF) and Voltage ratings. Remove power from the unit. Reach into the blower squirrel cage and spin it to verify that the shaft is not frozen. Pull the wires from the existing capacitor noting color and location. Connect the wires to the substitute capacitor and secure it place. Apply power and turn on the blower. A no start? Motor replacement time.

Intertherm/nordyne furnace (24 years old)

Shut off power, get a small wrench, remove orifice spuds and clean them with toothpick. Take burners out and clean rust from them. Check and see if you are getting 24 volts to gas valve. If not replace it.

Intertherm heat pump blows hot then cold then hot

You may have a problem with a temperature safety system.  Before changing anything else, check to see if the unit is clean!!!  Dirt/dust can fool the safety system into an overtemperature status.  Inspect the heat coils for damage and dirt.  Gently clean.
