My Kenmore Elite #63932 Electric Dryer will start to turn over when I push the start button, but as soon as I release the button, the dryer stops. Do you think it is a fuse or motor relay? I just replaced the Even Heat Control Assembly because there was a burned circuit. The same problem still exists though. Thank you for your help.
Its possible the dryer heat selector is at fault. If the timer inside does not move to the end of the heat cycle you may have further problems. Depending on how old the dryer and how long it has taken to dry garments, you may want to check that the motor has not gone bad causing an electrical overload. Faulty timers will cause extended drying times eventually putting a strain on the motor's bearings and electrical windings. You may want to get a replacement or get a repair estimate to repalce the belt, motor, drum rollers and heating coil components.

had the same concern and just ordered from sears the repair kit, includes the circuit board and the timer assy, sounds like a manufacturers problem with poor intial parts.have seen several same complaints now on this site.started with a motor replacement, used one..no luck.even repair manual says replace the board if no start occurs,,,any recourse from builders???
same problem-heat comes out but my clothes have lately been taking nearly 2 cycles to dry!!! Now the button won't stay on...is it worth fixing?
