Hello, attach the mouse and keyboard receiver to the PC and make sure to install the drivers if it not plug and play. the drivers usually come in a CD plate giving to you when you buy the keyboard and mouse. once that is done make sure the mouse and keyboard are turned on. ie, you must have inserted the battery into the source and usually a switch will be there to turn it on. hope it helps

SOURCE: Wireless keyboard & mouse will not connect

Would try going into the device manager in the control panel and make sure that the usb dongle is being identified correctly by windows. Also, would unplug any other usb devices so that they are not interfering.

SOURCE: Wireless keyboard & mouse will not connect

Then your problem is most likely driver-related. The chances are nill that both mouse AND keyboard are defective. Looks like it is down to one of two scenarios. Either the driver is incorrect or corrupt, or the dongle itself is malfunctioning. The driver would be first choice since it would be a free fix to rule out.

try uninstalling the driver first, then reboot. Next go to mfg website for the keyboard/mouse/dongle and download a fresh driver. Then reboot. Note that preferably, the correct protocol would be to install the driver first, before plugging in the dongle. Hope this helps. One question I can think of regarding the dongle is whether or not the dongle lights up when plugged in - some do. If yours is supposed to but does not, it could be the dongle itself. The bottom line now is between the dongle and a driver really. I'd be willing to bet the mouse and keyboard are just fine they just can't interface because the dongle is the gateway and you know the rest...good luck.

Hi my wireless keyboard & mouse do not work at all on my Acer Aspire M3970, but both a cable keyboard & mouse do?

There is a USB receiver underneath the battery panel of the mouse, although it looks like part of the workings of the mouse. It's only a very small thing with a USB plug on it but it is there. The instructions don't show a picture of it, so it's very easy to think you haven't got one until you look closely

Unclip it and put it in your USB port and it should come up.

How to connect cordless mouse and cordless key board cordless desk top EX 1oo to desk top computer

Make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse and keyboard:

Plug your transmitter unit into an USB port, push the connect button on the TX, then push in on the connect button on the mouse and the keyboard. Also, install the cd that came with the KB/Mouse, to gain access to the features.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holy days!

Wireless mouse and keyboard not responding, no manual supplied for set up, trying to set up new desk top only four days old.

Maybe you need to install the drivers for the keyboard and mouse.

Try to download them from the internet based on your model number and install the drivers.

This should solve the problem.

Wireless key board & mouse

  • Decide where the keyboard will be placed, whether it is on your desk or a table. Spend a little time experimenting with positions and placement to make sure your wrists and arms will be comfortable. You should consider ergonomics before you set up the keyboard to avoid repetitive motion injuries later on.
  • Step 2 Install the batteries (usually three AA) in your wireless keyboard. Replace the cover securely so the batteries are connected properly. Turn the keyboard on.
  • Step 3 Get out the wireless receiver that came with your keyboard. Position it close to your computer, but not closer than about 8 inches, as the computer itself can cause interference with the wireless signal. You will also want to set the receiver away from other interference-causing devices, such as radios, TVs and telephones.
  • Step 4 Ensure that your wireless receiver is no more than about 6 feet away from where you plan to set your keyboard.
  • Step 5 Insert the CD containing the accompanying software into your computer. A dialog box should appear on your screen. If the install instructions don't pop up right away, manually access the CD by double-clicking its icon or selecting it from the Start menu.
  • Step 6 Plug the wireless receiver into a free USB portmag-glass_10x10.gif on your computer. If you don't have any ports remaining on your computer, you can use an external USB hub instead.

Acer wireless mouse and keyboard connection problem

Unplug the USB cable associated with the keyboard and mouse while the computer is still on. Plug it back in to a different USB port. This should cause Windows to re-detect them and reinstall the drivers automagically. Let me know if that works.

Re: wireless mouse and keyboard; mouse not detected

I bought the same combo from a parts house. The guy told me the mouse didn't work but didn't know why. I had the same problem. When I inspected the mouse closely, I found that the connect button on the bottom of the mouse had stuck underneath the housing...basically in the "connect position". When I freed it, the mouse worked and still works just fine. Hope this helps
