On your amp under the back seat their are 2 plugs the one on the left which is the smaller of the 2 there is a Tan wire w/Orange stripe on it hook the remote wire from stereo plug which will be blue w/white stripe to that wire so it will power-up your amp...Bottom line, no amp = no sound, unless you figure what wires are the speaker wires and hook directly to your stereo plug............Its an easy fix

2008 gmc sierra speaker

I have a 2008 Silverado and noticed my chime was not working. They work off the front door speakers. Found out GM put the cheapest speakers on the market in them. Bought a new pair of Kenwood speakers from Crutchfield and installed them last week. They sound great. I will probably install Kenwood's in the rear doors since it's only a matter of time before they die too.

Hooked the stereo up and got power to but no sound coming out speakers but i try home speaker it work so what did i do wrong ?

if im understanding correctly what you wrote. you hooked up the headunit to the car and no sound from speakers, then you hooked up a single house speaker up and that speaker works fine. the Ohms on the car speakers might be too high, but most likely sounds like the wires to the speakers are bad.

Rear speakers don't work

Sir,
I do not want to insult you in any way, but I must ask just in case it was overlooked! First check to be sure that the speaker settings on the stereo were not set all the way to the front. If that is not the problem, you can hook another speaker you know works to the wireing to the rear speakers to check to see if it is the speaker or the wireing. If you hear sound from the speaker you know works, then your speakers in the car are bad. If you do not hear sound, then it will be from the wireing. Next is the more difficult part. You will have to pull the stereo out and can splice into the wires. Hook the good speakers up to the splice and check for sound. make sure you know for sure the wires you splice into are for the rear speakers. If you still hear no sound, then it is more then likely a problem in the stereo itself. If you do hear sound then there is a problem in the wireing somewhere and may be easier to just run new wires to the rear speakers.
