Intermittent flickering of lights and switching of input

The unit turns on OK, and works for a while, but will suddenly switch inputs, or go to a locked up state where all the lights are on at once (all inputs lit up). Vibration, like tapping on the case, aggravates this behavior.

For mine, the source of the issue was a loose screw at the rear left corner of the main board of the unit (the one with the output transistors). The solution was simply tightening that screw (which also carries a main ground wire).

Stab in the dark here, but I don't see any screws in the main board in the left rear viewed from the front. I have a dead one here. Standby light only. I'm guessing relay unless I am looking in the wrong place for the missing *****. Please advise.

LEDs from China tend to flicker as they age because the design is overloading the LED.

SCREEN FLICKERS WHITE 2 LIGHT BLUE

Sounds like a loose connection. Make sure your cables are secure. Try switching your INPUT selection on the remote to something else, for example, if you're watching cable, switch to HDMI, or A/V or something.

You can also try, if the input w/ the issues is HDMI, either swapping your cable for a new one, or swapping which HDMI input it's plugged into.

Good luck.

Samsumg 42pspf301501a no power main input ok

Could be an internal fuse that has blown in the power supply, if that's ok, it could be the switched mode transistor that has failed.

Also check for dry solder joints that could be causing an intermittent connection

I have a Sherwood Nottingham R-925RDS receiver. No matter what input I select it does not connect to the amplifier section. Everything else appears to function ok. Unit switches on & off, correct...

Let's work with FM as that is ONboard and can't be connected wrong. Does THAT work?

Turn the volume control to something medium.

The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.

Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Mute or Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

Harman Kardon AVR 325 randomly switching inputs

Step one would be to ascertain exactly what the failure mode is - which input(s) aggravate it, what kind of connection, etc. Narrow the scope a bit.

The clicking and fickering sound like it's struggling with an intermittent source connection. When it starts flickering see if you can change the problem by wiggling the cables one at a time.

Do any of your video sources have multiple attachment types connected at the same time, say, hdmi and component, but to different assigned inputs?

Sharp TV switches to "input 2"

There's an option on the menu to tuen 'demo mode' on and off. If it's set to on, that's your problem. It will be switching input sources every 2 minutes or so. Switch this off and it'll be ok again.

Yamaha RX-V461 receiver audio

Disconnect the unit from the mains at the wall socket. Leave powered down for 5 mins to ensure a good reset and turn unit on again and see what happens. If there is still no life. Check for failed fuses inside amp. ALWAYS RELACE FUSES WITH THE SAME RATING AND TYPE.

Suddenly blank

Did you know any subtle changes in monitor performance before you had this problem. Maybe a flicker or lines running down the screen?
