I just fixed the blown 15 amp. fuse for dead refrig. thanks to this site. The door open too long alarm is way too quiet. I noticed an adjustment pot next to the speaker on the circuit board with the fuse. Could this be the volume adjustment for louder alarm? I didn't want to guess at this for fear of throwing something else out of whack. thanks, Bill

You will have to buy a new board to solve it.

fuse blew, if you have a contract have it repaired but try to keep the old mother board. (they just throw it away anyway, otherwise they are not authorized to work on LG units) you will see the culprit fuse. have it replaced in an electronic shop, (have them put in a fuse holder) and keep a few extra fuses Just in case... next time you could replace the board yourself.

Little late, but the same thing happened to me. With a continuity tester you should be able to check to see if the fuse is good/bad, but make sure there is no power going to the board. Mine went bad but since the fuses are integral to the board, the entire board was bad. $20 later after a visit to RadioShak, I was able to remove the fuse, and install a fuse holder in its place. Never soldered on a printed circuit board before, but thought it worth a shot since the board is $200! I say try and trouble shoot it yourself. It worked out well for me.
