You could try boosting the bass and reducing the highs on the EQ setting, however there MAY be a probllem with the pickup, not the preamp.

SOURCE: Fishman Prefix Plus preamp on my acoustic guitar

I had one of these installed on a new guitar - it didn't work. After a lot of wasted time I concluded that the preamp was faulty.
I contacted the supplier who agreed to pay for a replacement.
So I purchased another brand new Fishman Prefix Plus. I fitted it to my guitar (not easy!) and found to my dismay that it also didn't work!

In the meantime I was in email contact with Fishman - they were useless.

At that point I threw them all out and bought a Belcat. It was actually cheaper and worked perfectly.

Moral: Don't buy Fishman...

I have seen defective XLR cables so check it with an ohmmeter. It is possible the mic input preamp has been damaged. If that is the case, the unit will have to be repaired.

I need a diagram for wiring a fishman PREFIX stereo blender. It has 4 wires. black, red, white, silver.

If you are in the US, take a length of light-gauge wire (AWG 20-24) attach it to the center screw that keeps the cover on over the standard dual AC receptacle and to a screw on the back of your unit. This kind of problem often is caused by a poor grounding of the cover or chassis.

I get a buzzing from the mic on my Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend that stops when I revert to the pickup only. The buzzing becomes less when I touch the circuit board of the preamp underneath...any ideas?

This is a grounding and shielding problem. It is unknown what type of guitar you have but if there are other electronics, they need to be grounded to this device ground. Any source of magnetic fileds can worsen problems. Transformers in amps, etc. Solid body guitars have special shielding paint and you may be able to improve shielding by painting... just don't get it on circuit boards as it will short out the circuitry.

I would first investigate if the string itself MAY have a problem. If the strings are old, say over a year, try a new set. The only other likely cause of the problem is the setup of the unit.

I had bought a parker fly mojo bass, but lacks the output. i think someone messed with the electronics. I know it has fishman preamp with peizo

The first thing is to check the battery. The battery is draining anytime you have a cable plugged into the guitar. Use ONLY alkaline batteries. The rechargeables only deliver a lesser voltage.

Check that no wiring is shorting to the paint inside the electronics cavity... the paint is conductive.

My Fishman Prefix plus is not working through an amplifier and the tuner will not stay lit

Check the battery in the preamp. Also adjust the eq to see if you might be clipping the frequency you are generating.

ALSO do not overdrive a tuner... they get confused and won't register.
