The ink you replaced costs as much as a new printer that comes with ink. Get a new one.

SOURCE: Epson Stylus CX5400 - Printing is bad even after Head cleaning!

Before replacing the print head on the printer try these steps , and if the printer get long without printing the changes of ink getting dried id high and resulting streaky printing or missing ink on the paper even if the ink is detected by the printer ...

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

SOURCE: Not printing magenta ink and tried cleaning heads already

Hi, one or two head cleans won't clear a clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://www.powerklin.co.uk/?gclid=CNGDypir-JgCFQ4yQgodZlC4lw

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

SOURCE: only black and blue will print on test page; yellow and magenta does not. Ink was just replaced.

Did yellow and magenta print OK before the previous cartridges ran out? If so, it looks like your new cartridges are not working properly. Try another yellow and magenta cartridge - you can re-use the previous cartridges if they turn out not to be faulty. If new cartridges don't solve the problem, you can try soaking the print head, in case you have nozzles blocked with dried ink for some reason.

Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If you get any magenta/yellow ink on the nozzle check, then there is hope! Repeat the head clean/nozzle check process 2 or 3 times, but not more. Leave for 24 hours for any air bubbles to disperse. If nothing, repeat the soak process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

HP Officejet Pro K8600 won't print in color, just in black

Ink levels are an estimate. They are approximated according to how much color might have been used. You may be out of all the color inks, they may be dried out or clogged. There should be a head cleaning operation for the printer, but it uses ink too.

Ink Cartridge in Canon iP 1300 is not recognised by the Printer. It is showing the following error message "An error occurred. Some ink cartridges cannot be recognized." and a message box is...

All of the newer printers have ink tanks that are 'chipped out', meaining that you can't just refill a tank with a syringe like in the olden days. If the printer reads the 'chip' on that tank and it says it's empty - it won't work even though there is ink in it.
Some refill places just put ink back into used tanks, but DO NOT have a chip re-setter, so the printer does not either: 1) recognize the tank, or 2) thinks it is still empty.
I have had very, very good luck with an on-line company called ABCINK.com for my Canon MX700. A five pack ( 2 Black carts. and one each of cyan, magenta and yellow) costs me only $18.95 delivered w/shipping. Genuine CANON carts. would have been almost $100.
Your Canon 300 is older than dirt. I know, I had one. Try another ink tank or attempt to CLEAN the print heads and nozzles. But really, I bought one of these old dinosaurs for $30 bucks 10 years ago, so you may want toss this 'boat anchor', because as soon as you, and if you, can get it back up and running - something else will fail.
Go drop $60 on a brand new 4-in-one printer that scans in documents & pictures, can scan in a printed page and convert it to a Word doc using OCR (Optical Character Recognition), makes copies, prints from your computer and has an Automatic Document Feeder and Reader so that you can load up 50 pages to copy, scan or whatever. (Also, it might be time to replace that old Penty 3 processor. FWM, Freekin' Wal-Mart has some ****-Jimdy 15.6 laptops for $325 - $350 out the door with tax and a whole ONE year warranty.)
DO NOT BUY A H-*** MACHINE. THEY ARE JUNK. THEY ALL OVERHEAT & JUST RECENTLY THEY QUIT MAKING THEM. REMEMBER THAT COMCRAP (COMPAQ) GOT BOUGHT BY H-***, SO NO **** FROM COMCRAP EITHER.)

Im using hp deskjet 2660 cartridge says INTRODUCTORY HP TRICOLOR PRINT CARTRIDGE (colors) cyan magenta yellow 60 it's not producing yellow images that i printed are in pink or purple i...

This model printer has only two slots for ink cartridges. One is for a black ink cartrigde and the other is for a tri-color cartridge which contains cyan, magenta and yellow inks.
This tri-color cartridge has run out of yellow ink, you need to replace this tri-color cartridge.

When I Print the color Yellow, it's being printed as Pink.

I think you switched the ink stations. Try to switch the yellow and magenta. It also is a possibility that they are refilled with the wrong ink color. Place new ink cartridges and your problem is solved! (It can be that a few prints still show some pink color, because there is a residu of magenta in the yellow printhead)

Either the ink you are using is not going to give the color you want, or you have print heads that are blocked.

My color has not worked well in the past few months. Now I get the message Unable to Print, Use Troubleshooting and rountine maintenance chapter in user's manual. I've tried everything it told me. I've removed all ink cartridges and left them upright (they are ALL brand new) and cleaned all the ink ports. I've cleaned the machine several times. It's told me there's no ink cartrige, I've replaced them, turned the machine off and on, unlplugged, etc. Then go to print and I get the same message again and it won't print. The machine is almost 2 years old and has worked fine until about 6 months ago when the magenta stopped working all together. Now this. Any help? Thanks.
