This appears to be an indication of a failed hard drive. During the bootup process, your computer looks for bootable (accessible) devices including your hard drive, external drives (if any) and then any other possible mediums like network attached resources. If the hard drive is not available then this would explain your situation.

It means Hard drive ? whether if it is Hard disk or CD/DVD ROM, kindly suggest which hard drive is failure ?

During the boot up process the computer looks for a device to load an operating system from, based on the order configured in the BIOS settings. In most configurations, the first device will be the hard drive or CD/DVD drive. If the hard drive is not responding and there is not a bootable CD/DVD disk, then the computer will look for any remaining choices in the BIOS boot list. If none are available then the message you see will appear.
Most computer users do not operate their computer from a CD/DVD drive. The hard drive is usually the boot drive.
Repairing or replacing the hard drive will correct this problem.

Hi Jon.

Go into the BIOS confuguration by pressing the F2 key as the laptop starts up and set the BIOS to its default configuration. Save the changes by pressing the F10 key or save in the BIOS menu. The computer will restart so see if that has made any difference.
If you still get the same IDE #0 error then the hard drive is ready for failing. A replacement hard drive will not cost much at all.
Seeing as you have only spent $20 on the laptop in the first place you have got yourself a bargain there. Spend a liitle money on a new drive and OS then you could have a fully working laptop.

HI there,
The "Error" texts saying:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Are completely normal. This simply states that there is no external cables plugged into the specialty inputs on your toshiba laptop.

The "operating system not found" is stating that your existing hard drive is either A) dead or B) been erased.

Try to re-install your operating system, if it finds no hard drive, you'll need a new one!

Modern TVs are basically a computer. In case you are talking about your computer, this is very old as it is copyright 1997. So, is this failure of a hard-drive of a computer, or failure of the high voltage circuit on a TV?
