You do not need s driver...........

Router setup

If you are using the cd that comes with the router, that is the problem. You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then:
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.

SOURCE: need the driver for Linksys WRT300N V1 ... can't find the CD

Hi,

The LINKSYS WRT300N is a standalone device, there are no software/driver needed on your PC for the router to work. However, there is an easy Setup Wizard that is in the CD that normally comes with the unit.

Unfortunately, Linksys did not make the specific Setup Wizard (Version 1.3) for the WRT300N available online. However, if you care to try the Setup Wizard for a WRT54GC, it may downloaded from the LINKSYS ftp site here. I used to have a WRT54G and I did make use of the Setup Wizard for that model. I upgraded to WRT300N. The setup wizard for the old WRT54G worked likewise on the new WRT300N.

Alternately, the WRT300N can still be configured without the CD or the Setup Wizard by logging into the Configuration Page (192.168.1.1). Remember to use LAN interface when setting the router (as shown in the connection diagram) and set your PC to an IP Address of 192.168.1.2, Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0; Follow on screen instructions and enter settings/configurations manually.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. Additionally, if you still prefer to have a copy of the original WRT300N Setup Wizard, pls include your email address that I may send it to you as an attachment.

Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: l have lost internet connection with linksys

Stop using the setup disk. It does not work. Connect to your router via a web browser to 192.168.1.1. Username blank, input your password and configure the router as normal.

SOURCE: i need installation software for a linksys WRT54G2

router do not normally need installation software..

you can access their admin software by putting in the ip address into your browser...

if you are running xp go to start > run and type in "cmd"..

when you get the black DOS screen, type in "ipconfig" and look at the results for the ip address of your "Default Gateway"..

go back and type this into your web browser to access the router...

for linksys the default password is admin, leave the username blank

How do i open udp prts 53,67,68,500,4500 on a linksys wrt54gs2 router

Judging by the port numbers you listed, you are trying to setup a VPN tunnel to a corporate network. If this is a client based VPN, you actually don't need to open these ports at all, given that the router will allow all traffic outbound, by default. However, if you are trying to build a site-to-site VPN, your Linksys router isn't capable of this.

Now, I suppose you may have a device inside your network, behind your router, that is running some VPN software of some sort. In which case you want to turn on port forwarding. This can be a complicated task. Please comment, if that is the case and I will go into more detail.

Need to get log in and password to my cisco linksys router wrt54gs2 v1

To reset the Linksys back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON for 20 secs. then release the RESET button.
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Setting up Linksys Wireless Router for Satellite

In Windows, run "cmd". Type "ping google.com". If you can ping google.com, the problem is with the websites you are trying to surf. If you cannot ping google, there is a problem with your connection. This sounds like a used wireless router

You might need to configure it. See this: https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=139668#H2
