E68 readout on the panel

My dryer has an E68 readout on the panel with a good deal of associated bleeping & flashing. If I unplug the unit for awhile & gently
push the buttons it will dryer just fine but if I leave it plugged in for
any length of time without drying the E68 reading returns.

SOURCE: Receiving an E68 readout on the time screen & lots of bleeping

E68 is a control assembly problem.

Try first unplugging the power cord for ten minutes.

If that does not work, then do the following:

Press buttons lightly and release.
Disengage button.

If still no luck, then the control assembly is defective and must be replaced.

Run the service diagnostic mode to determine which button is stuck. Start by pressing and holding the Select and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to reset the control.
jahn27_112.jpg

Rotate the cycle selector knob 5 turns counterclockwise to the second position from the bottom immediately after the buzzer sounds.
jahn27_113.jpg

Press and hold the Options and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The control enters the test mode and the buzzer will sound 3 times with all of the LEDs flashing.
jahn27_114.jpg

Rotate the cycle selector knob 4 turns clockwise to the second position from the top and the dryer motor runs with the heating element off. The buttons can now be tested to determine which is stuck.
jahn27_115.jpg

Press each button and all corresponding LEDs should light. If the LEDs corresponding to a certain button lights up without pressing the button or if the LEDs do not light up when the button is pressed, that button must be stuck or not making any contact when pressed.

Replace the control board if the stuck button cannot be unstuck or if there's no button that's apparently stuck but the fault code persists. Let us know if you need further advice.

Your control is faulty and will need to be replaced. Access to it is gained by removing the top panel.

What is an error code e-68 on a galaxy series dryer mean

E68 error code is a stuck button error code. You can try to wiggle each button on the control panel to make sure they are all functioning freely. If so, then unplug the dryer and leave it unplugged a couple minutes then plug the dryer back in to clear the electronic panel's error code. If the panel still shoes E68, then you'll need to replace the panel. Part#134557201

Hope this helps!!

Dryer codes

The error code E68 is a stuck button error code. I recommend checking each button to make sure it loose in the plastic console. The button should rock side to side a little bit. If all the buttons are loose you can try to reset the unit control by unplugging the dryer for two minutes. If the error code comes back you will need to replace the unit control.

Start/stop lights are flashing with "50" minutes readout. should be OFF. how do I clear it for good?

these dryers have alot of board problems i've seen them beep and then start up by themselves gotta love frigidaire, the computer board took the place of the timer so if the dryer didn't advance to off and got stuck in the same spot you knew it was the timer,so if it doesn't count down and beeps it sounds like a board issue and sometimes the board can't read itself out and you won't get a code.try unplugging it for like 5 to 10 minutes and then plug it back in to see if it resets the board but it probably will go back to doing the same thing

Error Code E68 on frigidaire affinity dryer. dryer will run about 2 minutes and then shut down with error code E68

Frigidaire Affinity dryer model AEQ7000ESO error code E68 (stuck button). Sometimes a 'stuck button' code really is a stuck button. I took the circuit board off the front panel. On the back side of the front panel, each button has 3 short plastic posts, 2 on one side and 1 on the other. The center part moves to push a longer piece that contacts the circuit board. When I push the top of a front stadium-shaped button, the center plastic piece moves too far, touches the short post, and sticks (maybe due to age). When I push the bottom of the front button, the plastic piece goes far enough to contact the circuit board and not far enough to touch the short post. To prevent a stuck button, we now press the bottom of the front buttons. So far so good. If it happens again, I plan to shave or file a little bit off the top edge of the post to give it more clearance. 1st photo: pencil points to stuck parts. 2nd photo: unstuck parts, 3rd photo: the front of our dryer. 68a7d368-523a-4ad9-b13a-20009dc9f567.jpg

I have a frigidaire dryer that it run few minutes and then stop.the scren shows E68 error code. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

E68 is a stuck button check all of the buttons if you can't unstick you will have to replace contol.
Be sure to unplug your dryer before starting any work on it.
You can replace it, just remove the top and then the screws holding the panel, slide to one side and lift out, lay it on a table or on top of the dryer and swap the panel. Good Luck, I hope this helps

The dryer gives E68 it starts running dor 30

the code 68 on the aeq7000es series is indicative of stuck buttons [your control buttons on the front]They sometimes stick in the closed position or go open [fail] and I have found the bad switch and replaced just the bad switch[ there should be a series of test to determine which switch button is bad] and if the switch buttons are testing good ,then it's control panel time. The control panels are about $150.00 on ebay ,sometimes you can find a "make offer" deal, but their few and far between.
