Why won't replica rotary dial phone works well but won't ring on incoming calls

Whats a rotary phone? J/k we're not that old yet.

Because phone systems are no longer analong. The way a rotary rings is by an increase in line voltage.

How do you reset the phone system... it sound like a rotary dial when Im calling out

If it's rotary then your system was reset already.
When a system defaults it will assign 2 lines to all phones and give Jan 1 as the date.

Change from Rotary to Touch tone is done under Config/Lines/Data

If unsure who to program or navigate or config password then call in a vendor/tech.

We had a power outage, main system box making sound like a rotary phone when I dial.

The battery in your phone system is dead. This will happen every time you have a power failure. Everything resets. Date becomes Jan 1st 1980 (but might update if you have callerID), all phones will have access to only line 1 and line 2, both those lines will ring on all calls, and the line settings are set back to pulse ...

Ideally you either have the battery replaced (it's soldered on the board of the system), or you get a new phone system. Otherwise you'll have to reprogram everything when you have a power failure.

Our power went off and Since then We have been unable to reprogram our phone system. We have a VTECH answering system 5.8 AT&T 1818 digital answering system. I lost the manual...can you help??

Explaining the steps for reprogramming your answering machines are quite elaborate and would take too much to explain so i have sent you a link to help download the user manuals the first is for AT&T

http://uversephones.att.com/docMgt/public/art/286/1818_manual.pdf

Next is for the VTech.

We seemed to have a power outage over the weekend. We have M7324 system with 6 rollover lines, only the first two work now, the other four are not working. I rebooted the system, no change. Can you help?

You must have an older system. There is a battery built into the control unit (not user replaceable) that stores the system programming in case of a power outage. When the battery is dead, your system will lose all programming and default to assigning the first 2 lines to all phones. The system will have to be completely reprogrammed.
Please Note: Now would be a good time to install a UPS/Battery Backup unit on the phone system. I recommend a large enough unit to keep the phones running for at minimum of 2 hours during a power outage. Install the UPS/BB first, and then reprogram the system (so it won't have to be reprogrammed twice). Good Luck!

The phone is on rotory mode .

Since you neglected to specify the model of your Uniden 5.8GHz cordless system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

We lost power and when our Meridian M8X24 phone system with T7316E phones came back up we only have access to 2 lines. How do we gain access to the other lines again.

Sounds like your norstar system needs to be reprogrammed because norstar defaults back to only 2 lines when the inturnal battery fails. If the inturnal battery has failed and you reprogram this phone system and you have another power fail you will have to have you system reprogrammed again.Time for new system.

The dial tone has gone back to the old rotary system

If your system is defaulting to pulse dialing , it sounds like an earlier 8x24 or 6x16. The memory battery is contained in the software cartridge and is fairly easy to change by first powering down the system, pulling out the cartridge and replacing it with the new one. You will have to reprogram the system one more time after start up ,but the should hold after that
