I know this is likely a simple answer but I don't have the manual anymore and am unsure of how to record. Even though I have my television on channel 4 which is the channel that normally works when I just play tapes, however, the TV now just says "muted" and is fuzzy. How to I set it so that I can record a show while I watch it? Thanks in advance for any help.
Well, seems like your vcr is attached to your tv by the antenna cable which you need to program to get it to record. but he is an easy way to record and you will get a perfect sound and picture.
Well, you need an RCA cables. you either have rca cables or scart plug. either on will do the job. you need to take the audio and picture cable OUT source of your channels IN to the vcr. now, OUT of the vcr IN to your tv. on the vcr you should change the channel to either AV or LINE..then you will get sound and picture. let me know how it goes

Hi There,
Press the Menu button
Use the volume up/down buttons to navigate to 'Answ. Setup'
Press OK
Use the volume up/down buttons again to get to 'Record greeting'
You might need to press OK here, I'm not sure.
Press the Start key and record your greeting
Full details are in the "Recording the Outgoing Message" section of the manual (page 10 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/ProductManuals/4303808_PM_EN.pdf
The dvd recorder will not automatically edit out parts you don't want to see....the easiest way is to watch the movie live and if you know the part you don't want to record, press pause during the part and resume when it's done. Otherwise you will have to load the whole movie from dvd to your computer, get an editing software and cut out the scenes you don't want. There are lots of these simple programs on the market and some are even free.
Quickest way is to watch it real time and push pause on the objectionable parts.
Hope this helps.
There should be a greeting or greet labeled button on the base.Hold it down and it will prompt you.If there isn't one, without turning on the phone hit the funtion button. There should be a directional button to cycle you through the options. It should be on the base though. We just got rid of our Uniden though because the batteries died and there are so many new ones that come out year to year, they don't even put out the battery anymore. It is less than 2 years old too.:( Good luck!
