Check the battery fuses, and that the UPS actually charges the batteries.

Check your battery, if the battery is dead the UPS will not turn on.

Then you don't have the computer's power plug connected in the correct side of the UPS or the UPS in not working correctly and needs to be returned.

How old is the unit? They only last so long before the battery can charge no more.

check the battery voltage. if it is bellow 11v this problem can occur. apc ups starts from its battery and then only it gos to mains supply. if ur battery is deeply discharged it will not power on. in this case u have to pullout the battery from ups and charge it using battery charger. if not works replace the battery.
