SOURCE: my brother cs6000 won't sew buttonholes

change the needle
some machines have a button hole lever that must be pulled down
before the button hole is started
but it's also possible that the machine needs to be check to see if
there is something is wrong with a part inside
check the feed dog to make sure it's in the up position

before you race the machine into a service centre, most hard to turn problems are from thread and fluff wound around the bobbin shaft in the base of the machine. Use a pin/ needle to remove the thread /fluff then oil the machine using light machine oil. If it is still stiff , take it to a service centre.

Brothe cs6000 needle bar noise
if the plastic compartment opens try using a couple of drops
of sewing machine oil on the needle bar and see if that helps.

Where is lever to adjust sewing speed on a cs6000
Right under your led window, if your model has that. Look at your manual on page 6 and you will see if you have it or not. If, you do not have your manual go to www.brother-usa.com and download a free copy of it. Save it to your computer then enlarge the diagrams.
