I had the same problem with my galaxy j7, I forgot the login password to get in to my phone. I tried a hard factory reset to manufacture settings. I had contacts and photos backed up with google account, so it was okay to erase and reset the phone. The login password was gone and the phone started like i had just bought it, but then I ran into another problem. My google user account was still logged in when I reset the phone. Androids and googles Factory Reset Protection was activated and a message said "an unauthorized attempt to factory reset was detected, please login with the original user email and password". I forgot the screensaver password and google account password I was still locked out of my phone. Two options I had then was the local phone repair store (boost mobile was going to charge 40$ to unlock my phone) recommended to try this first. The other option was to reset google account password and login to email from another computer for password verification and wait googles 72 hour FRP lockout to use new password to login. If you have any other questions or cant login email at [email protected]

The gmail that is asking for is the one you use to activate the phone, also the password is needed. If you forgot your gmail account username, then use a computer to troubleshoot the problem by clicking Forgot password, and then I can't get into my account or something along those lines. It will take you to a process of some questions. Remember, it have to be the one you use to activate the phone.
Hello, tealey.
Unfortunately, there is no way to reset the pattern unlock without knowing your google account login information. To attempt to recover your google password:
1) Go to www.google.com,
2) Click on "Sign In" in the upper right corner,
3) Click on the "Can't access account?" link on the right side underneath the username and password fields.
If this works, great! Enter your recovered information and then you will be prompted to create a new unlock pattern.
If you are unable to recover your account information, you will need to do a factory reset on your phone. Sadly, because you didn't provide the make and model of your phone, I can't tell you how to do this, but a quick google search should be able to point you in the right direction.
Best of luck!

You will have to reset your Google account by going here:
https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery?continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F%23q%3Dgoogle%2Bstarbucks%2Bnutrition%2Bfacts%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff
If you are concerned about security of the link above, navigate to Google's website and click on "Sign in" then click on "Can't Access your account?"
You will be able to reset your Google account there. Then use the log in information to unlock your phone.

Tap the username field and enter the primary Google account user name. 4. Tap the password field and enter the primary Google account password. 5. Draw a new unlock pattern and tap Continue . 6. Draw the new unlock pattern again and tap Continue .
If these options are not available to you, please describe preciselywhat you see when attempting to connect to your PC and use PCCompanion.
Get on a computer if you can, go to gmail, enter the username, and click Forgot Password. It will email you a temporary password and then you can change it.
