 A replacement motherboard can be obtained only from them recommended solution, if you plan to reinstall the same OS without problems. If your pc is no longer under warranty it will cost you more than the second option.

Hi, This is the closest manual I could find for this motherboard. I have a Gateway DX472003 with a ms-7399 motherboard and one of my memory slots has crapped out. Where can I find a replacement motherboard or is there another motherboard I can use?
That is a MIcroStar board, you can get them from Ebay, MicroStar, look any motherboard that you want will work, ALL MB are standard and only have xtra's over and above what each one has, so just get a board with similar specs as your or better and your good to go.

I need a motherboard for this model. Gateway dx4720-03
The Gateway DX4720-03 Desktop PC, uses an MSI ms-7399 motherboard, made specifically by MSI for Gateway.

I just did a quick search and saw this mobo available for $75 US on Ebay. (Gateway DX4720, ms-7399)

I have a gateway MSII have a gateway MSI Ms-7399 mother board. I have an E6300 pentium dual core processor at 2.8 with a FSB at 1066,in it and it works fine. I want to know what the specs on the board are...
The board is maxed out at 1066 and it does not appear that gateway has a BIOS update to allow for the higher FSB reuired with the faster Intel chips. If you installed one of these newer LGA 775 chips into your computer it may work but would be a lot slower than what it is rated due to the chips multiplier would be set for 1333. I could not see any BIOS updates from gateway for this board. Also these chips are designed to run with the faster memory and the 800mhz memory speed would also be a bottle neck for your system.

If you would visit the msicomputer.com website, there's a search box in which you can enter your MS number. You should find links to your drivers, and even the user's manual with all the specs., including what ram is compatible.
