You do not say what version of Windows you have. Press start then run copy the the text below, enter it into the box and press enter: sfc /scannow wait until it has finished. Go to control panel/ system/device manager. Are there any yellow triangles? double click the monitor. Is the driver OK?

Installed power supply and recived : Reboot and Select proper Boot device

A couple things to check first, make sure there's no floppy disc/cd in the drives, and if you are comfortable with computers, you can enter the boot setup of your BIOS, and check to see that your hard drive is listed as the primary boot device. Restart your computer during the boot process you will see on the screen a certain key to press usually the Delete or F2 Key to enter set up this will vary depending on your computers bios. Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys navigate to advanced bios features press ENTER to check if its set to boot from your hard drive. The BIOS is AMI. Under ADVANCED SETUP: The options listed for 1st,2nd ,3rd Boot device include: IDE-0 means Pri master ? IDE-1 means Pri slave ? IDE-2 means Sec master ? IDE-3 means Sec slave ? If for any reason you have changed a setting in bios and you are unsure of it you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart . WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules Or there is a connection problem such as a bad cable Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO THE HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty if its a flat 40pin ribbon ide this will be the first to fail. Make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty computers need power and data to travel through every working device and continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error Hope this helps.

At the startup menu i am getting a message that says, Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device."

Firt thing you can check is wthr your harddrive is detected or not. to do that you have to enter to the BIOS,To Enter BIOS you have to press DELET or F1 or F2 key(Mostly DELET). Now inside the BIOS in main menu check if your hard drive is showing or not. If it is showing there then you try to find out boot sequence, option after getting the boot sequence optuon check if the first device is other then hard drive. if your harddrive is detected and your first boot device is also set to HARD drive then it might that your Operating system is Crash, in that case you need to re install the OS.Now if you can see your hardrive in your BIOS then you can open the case( remember to unplug all the cable, Power, VGA, KEYboar ...etc) and try to inter change the harddrive cable connting cable, i mean just try to chage the port of the cable to other one and try switch on your computer ... if still you find the same problem then try changing new cable. ....well if still you have the same problem then i am afraid that you might need to replace the hard drive with new one.Sorry for the Bad Englsih. Hope the above steps will work for you and you understood what i tried to say. Cheers:)

Powersupply went out replaced power supply on my DX4300 powers on but no picture on moniter

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions

even something as small as an electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all electrical power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps

My NB temperature over heats really easy. What can I do to fix this?

Your computer is overheating. Three causes of overheating are:1) Dust - Dust inside the computer, dust clogging the fans, dust clogging the vents, dust around the cpu and heat sink. Remedy - Open the case and blow out the dust with a can of compressed air.2). A fan is not working. Remedy Replace the fan. There are two so find out which one is not working. One is inside the Power Supply where the power cord plugs in and the other one sits on top of the CPU and Heat Sink on the motherboard.3) The Thermal Paste around the CPU and Heat Sink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool. Remove the Fan, CPU and Heat Sink and apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste.

Hi - recently I've been

Three major components usually is causing this kind of problem. One is the memory card. Two the video card . and lastly worst is the motherboard. Check and clean your memory card first then put it back to its place of slot. Start your computer. If you hear one beep but still no pictures, the problem lies in your video card. If there's still no beep sound and picture, and you think your memory card is good, try to clean your video card, then start your computer. If there is still no picture, and you think your video card is good, then you have a problem with your motherboard. Indication that your cpu is working were, beeping sounds, lead lights blinking or changing sequence is present. If it is present, your monitor has a defect an needs to be replaced. But if none of this is present, we have a motherboard problem.

I want to wipe computer

What you want is to format your hard drive. If you have multiple hard drives you have to erase all but the one with your operating system (windows), this can be done by right clicking on them, choosing format.. and following the instructions. Then you have to boot from a cd with an operating system (windows xp, vista, 7, linux!) and during the installation choose to format the hard drive with your previous operating system and install the new one over it. Personal advice: Make sure you have kept a copy of anything you don't want to loose!
