I have a Jacuzzi LRC filter pump 1.5 hp and would like to confirm the wiring from the swtich to the motor.

My pump is hard wired and I had removed it for the winter. I have one wire (insullated Blk) connected to the switch, where does the other end of this wire go on the motor. I also have a white wire and a Blk wire (coming from my power box) does the white wire go to the switch, and from the swtich what terminal on the motor, where does the Blk wire connect.

SOURCE: air in my jacuzzi pool pump

It sounds like air is entering the system through the clear dome (filter access) on the pump. Check the o-ring directly underneath the clear plastic dome. CAUTION: Be sure to isolate the pool from the pump via in-line shutoffs prior to loosening the dome lid. Sometime cleaning the o-ring and coating it with petroleum jelly helps the unit seal better.

The cables will overheat if they are carrying more current than they are designed for.

There are two possibilities for this problem:-
1) there is a short circuit -not too likely as there would be tripping problem.

2) the motor is working harder than it was designed for and is drawing more current than the cables can stand.

Check the pump to see if it is rotating freely; perhaps there is something blocking the pump.

I have an above ground pool with a jacuzzi pump. (1.5 hp). I just replaced the sand in the sand filter. I also put on a new o-ring on the jacuzzi pump cover. When I turn on the filter, the pump fills up...

I think you have a air leak. A 1.5 hp motor is very strong and should vacuum well. Be careful to not over tighten the top of your pump housing.

Is your impeller in good shape? It may be worth your while to remove the pump motor from the pump. While you have it apart, replace all the seals (there is a kit for this). Inspect the impeller and all parts of the housing - any junk inside? Remove it. After you complete the rebuild, reinstall the motor, fill the pump housing with water, secure the top and start the pump.

How to separate the two impeller flanges of a jacuzzi pump to access the impeller in order to remove the wet end from the motor OR is there some way to remove the wet end of a white JWB 60C Ser no. 06785...

That is an old sealed Jacuzzi pump that can not be repaired. It is one of many reasons why Jacuzzi never did well in the pump business and has gone from owner to owner over the years. Unfortunately your pump is not repairable without destroying it in the process.

Wet ends may still be available. The part numbers I have are:
850100 .5/.75 HP
9011000 1 HP
850200 1.5 HP
856600 2 HP

0199000 Gasket (2 req’d)
4516000 Flange, 2”

Good luck,

Motor removal on a Jacuzzi magnum force pump.

The impeller is threaded onto the end of the motor shaft and the housing (pump body) is attached to the motor with the same bolts that hold the rear cover on the motor they run all the way through on most pumps.

I have a jacuzzi 1/2 hp submersible well pump. Does this need any regular maintainance to keep it happy.

No preventative maintenance is necessary. However, a happy pump always has water above it and should not pump sand. If the water level in the well is below the pump/motor they will overheat. If this is a problem your local pump company can install a module to protect your pump from this type of event.
