GGW9200 Dryer Does Not Dry. Status Light goes immediately to Wet

When I start my dryer, the status light does not start at the Sensing position, but rather goes immediately to Wet, and the clothes are not drying. The burner is operating, however, it stays on for only 8 to 10 seconds at a time, and not very often, so the clothes are not drying. The dryer should go first to the Sensing position and then on to Wet (or something else), but it is not doing this. Help!

If the heat is only staying on for a few seconds and cutting out the vent line could be clogged, pull out the dryer, remove the vent line from the back and start it,if the heat stays on the vent is blocked, this is the easiest thing to start with,if the vent is clogged you can try a leaf blower and blow the lint out of the vent line

SOURCE: Dryer takes too long to dry my clothes

My dryer has been taking longer and longer to dry my clothes. Sometimes it takes multiple cycles before the clothes become dry. They seem to be getting warm, but are not drying as quickly as they use to.

Check your lint trap and the vent. make sure that there are no obstructions in either of them. Then take a look at your timer to since it is not stopping when you tell it too.

SOURCE: my dyer will not dry the clothes

First unplug your dryer from the electrical outlet. Next pull your dryer out from the wall. DIsconnect your flex outlet hose from the dryer and make sure it is not stopped up with lint etc. Next check the wall adapter to make sure it is clear of lint etc going to the outside of the house. If both of these are clear look inside the dryer outlet by looking in the tube where the flex hose was connected. You will need a flashligt to do this. If there is anything stopping it up remove it. If your dryer is getting hot but not drying there is probably something keeping the air from going out of the dryer to the outdoors.

SOURCE: Maytag LDG 712 shuts off before clothes are dry.

First, The most common part would be the over limit safety, it will be mounted to the element housing. Second, there is a thermal fuse usually a small disk with a little fuse inside. You can find these (with your model no.) at www.Repairclinic.com .Good luck.

Dryer not getting hot / washer won't run unless dryer on.

If these are separate units, you might have an electrical wiring problem in your house or apartment. If one unit (washer with dryer above), check to make sure the power cord is firmly attached to the terminals. Many other possible causes, too.

Dryer will not start cycle

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.

Dryer will not start

Your dryer may not be receiving adequate voltage to start. Make sure your dryer is plugged in. Also, check the circuit breaker panel to make sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Or check to make sure no fuses in the fuse panel are blown. Try plugging something else into the same outlet. If it won't work either, then there is likely something wrong with the power outlet. Any of these could be the reason power is not getting to your dryer. Also, refrain from using an extension cord to plug your dryer in.
