Hello..
I have a GE dryer that starts but then stops a few minutes later and the dryer is really hot. I have cleaned all lint out of the dryer and it still does the same thing. My dryer model number is DBXR463EDWW.
Is the inside drum turning?
does it have a control heat setting,if so the thermiser thermostat is bad,if not that the motor is over heating and shutting down, you'll have to tak eit apart to chesk things out,use a puuty knife to pop the top off there is a clip on each side in the front, let me know-mike
if you top the top look on the inside back right behind the drum and you will see the thermostat, take a look at the motor to when your in there-mike
go to sears. com click on parts put your model number in(inside dryer door)and you can get whatever you need-mike

Yes. When we put clothes in it seems to run fine and the drum turns. Then about 10 minutes later, it shuts off and the top of the dryer is really really hot and the clothes seem to be warm as if it is trying to dry. After the hurricane this year we noticed that the dryer had condensation in it before using the dryer even after a few days of not using it. I thought it was strange but because of the hurricane thought water might have gotten into the hose.
We do have a heat setting of delicates/low heat, fluff, cottons/regular heat, and easy care medium heat. Where is the thermostat located? Also could it be both the thermostat and the motor? Thank you for all of your help and your quick responses. :)
How can you get replacement parts? I know GE has a website. Would you get it from them? Thanks again! :)
For the motor there is motor and pulley assembly, strap motor, and motor support. Which one do I need?
