SOURCE: help for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ 1

For a factory reset:
Turn on the camera, push the menu button, push left, down and then right.

You are now on SETUP menu.

Scroll up to the RESET option, push right and then answer YES two times.

SOURCE: Continuous or fast photo captures

Pics are about 2 per second. If action is fast, like downhill snowboarding, then may not be fast enough for you. Use MOVie mode at 640 by 480. Not bad.

SOURCE: Panasonic DMC-TZ3 2GB Memory card says full with very few pics.

It may also be that the card isn't being read properly and you are using the onboard memory which is about 15 photos worth.

SOURCE: Problem with Panasonic DMC-TZ5, can not take pictures with Flash.

My TZ5 has developed exactly the same problem. I took it to DK Audio Services at Horley,Surrey,RH8 9GA. who repair cameras for Panasonic and was told by the receptionist that although the camera works with the flash off at present it will eventually pack up altogether. She suggested that when I get the quote I phone Panasonic on 08705 3577 357 to try and get them to pay for the repair, it seems it is a known problem! My camera is just over a year old!!

Testimonial: "Thanks, for your comment. Its good to know I´m not the only having this problem with the camera."

- Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera (suggested by Andrea Lock, above). I actually had to try this several times as camera was refusing to reset properly, but after a few goes, lens retracted and camera began to work again. Thanks Andrea.

Panasonic DMC-TZ3: one day it's working fine, next it won't power on. Tried the "Power Saver" reset technique posted ... didn't work. Battery is fully-charged.

Hello
Try removing the battery and the memory card for 1 minute then return them back. Make sure the battery is inserted properly. If that didn't work, try turning it on without the memory card.

Panasonic DMC-FX35 error message

Sounds as if it has either received a knock, or foreign matter (grit etc) has got into the lens mechanism.
