I plugged my surround sound into a 220 outlet

I read the power stats wrong and plugged it into a 220v outlet. when i pressed power there was a voice and a spark. i plugged it back into the 110 transformer and now when i press power it clicks and then a second later there is a buzz. I blew something obviously is there anything i can do to fix this? can i go in and solder in a new part?

Without a circuit diagram and test equipment it would be impossible to identify the fault and repair.

I can't find an electrical outlet that the plug will fit into

Probably because it requires a different electrical current. Is your machine made to run on 220 volts? If so, it will not work on regular 110 volts (standard household current). You'll need to have a special line and outlet to power 220. The outlets are different because you really don't want to be plugging a 110v appliance into a 220v outlet, or vice versa.

I plugged my 32hlc56 into 240 outlet in Cebu and its only 120, no power now, can I have it repaired and where?

You should take your TV to some good electronic service and they should check if it can be repaired. Obvously you overcharged it and PROBABLY some part of the circuit board burned out. Maybe it's just a cable, or the insulation or maybe it has a massive damage. it's a question of verifying if damaged part can be replaced or repaired and for how much.
No way to tell for sure extente of damage, I'm just guessing.

How to test the electrical system of the generator for free

Ez test to determine if stator wiring is ok. This test works on generators that have two sets of 115v plugs and 220v plug. Use a 12v, 1amp ac power supply ( smaller ac power supply should work ok ). With generator not running, apply 12v to one of the 115v outlet plugs. Now verify 12v output voltage with meter at another 115v outlet on generator. Also verify that there is about twice the voltage at the 220 v outlet plug (should be about 20v - 24v) . If the adjoining 115 v outlet plug has no output or very little voltage or if the 220 volt plug has no output, most likely stator is damaged or breaker is off. If the stator is shorted voltage reading will be very low and power supply will heat up. If stator is open, there will be no voltage at second 115v plug or 220 v plug. If voltage is ok at the other outlet plugs as per test above then most likely problem is with voltage regulator, or brushes not making contact or armature winding open or just needs to be energized. Unplug the 12v power supply after test to prevent it from overheating. Most generators have two 115v windings that together power the 220v plug. When you energize one of the windings with the 12v power supply, the second 115v winding will be energized also and give you a voltage reading about equal to 12v. You will not damage the generator with this small voltage being input thru the plug. Good luck

What to check if Wrong Electricity input is made

It's dependent on the extent of the damage; you may need to replace the electronic circuit board and/or the motor.

Can harmony touch work in country with 220 volt. Does it control the home theatre lights also

Hello,
Your Logitech remote should be able to work on a 220 volt system so ling as the AC adaptor that plugs between the wall and the charger is rated 110-220v. Unplug it from the wall an read what it says on the outside. In should say "Input 110-220v" to be safe to put on a 220 system. If it is only rated 110v input power, you may need to purchase a universal power adaptor in order to provide power to the charging cradle. Another solution is to buy a "power transformer" which is a box that plugs into the wall and steps down the voltage and provides an outlet that can be used to power multiple 110 devices. What ever you do, do not plug in a 110v only device into a 220v circuit. If you do, it will "fry" the electronics rendering them useless, but it could potentially even start a fire.

With regard to your lighting system, the Harmony will emulate just about any remote controlled system that uses an IR signal. You may just need to program that device into your remote. Since you will not always want lights on or off during a movie, I would teach the remote the the audio systems * key is the same IR command as your lighting system. That way you can control the lights at the push of a button, independent of that activity.

10,000 watt generator 220 plug doesn't work

Most generators have several circuits incorporated within the windings. There are usually two 115v windings, one or two windings that produce power and sensing voltage for the regulator that supplies power to the armature (produces magnetic force) and sometimes a 12v winding to supply power to charge the battery. The two 115v windings power one 115v plug each and together power the 220v plug. Each outlet has a breaker and or ground fault. Since the 115v plugs are working indicates that the 220v plug must have an open/broken wire or faulty breaker. Easy to check, however you must open cover to wiring compartment and trace wires. Should be easy fix. You do not have to start engine to find broken wire. Use ohm meter instead. With engine off, Insert probes into 115v plug and obtain ohm reading. Then insert probes into second 115v plug and obtain similar reading. Look for same reading at the 220v plug (remember 2 circuits of 115v, ground and neutral). Good luck with your repair and email if you have other question.

Does the Maytag LSE7806ACE require a 220 plug?

If you hook it up to 120 volts (by connecting L2[red] to common [white] the dryer will operate, but your heating element will only produce 25% of the heat it would on a 220v circuit. The drying time would be about 3 hours, and the auto dry setting may not work. Heat difference is about 5000 watts of heat on 220v, vs 1250 watts on 120v circuit.
