My lg42lcd has suddenly stopped producing sound when connected through ps3 hdmi.picture is fine but no sound.sky hd works fine through same socket.2 hdmi leads both work fine for sky but wont produce sound through ps3.picture and sound fine through scart so ps3 fine.have reset all tv settings and ps3 settings but still cant get sound through ps3.bought separate optical sound lead but still no sound.very confused,please help.thanks i have bought a hdmi cable for my ps3 and a dvi adaptor for my tv, when i connect it up the picture is fine but i have no sound through the hdmi channel ? so i connected the rca at the same time and have sound on my av1 channel but no picture , the picture is on the hdmi channel, how do i get the sound to play through this channel ?
I have sound on video 2, and when on a static channel but not on the usual channel 3 which is TV. Just stoppen working one day and cant figure it out... Please help!
It has to do with the settings of the ps3 and tv. You have to tell the ps3 to send the sound signal through the same cable as video, and you also have to tell the tv which cable the sound signal is coming in through.

on ps3 go to settings sound and change sound out put to hdmi you will see 3 different options

hi i had a problem, but had no pic, but did have sound, rang sony, and they said buy a new hd cable, went out and bought one, and it worked fine!!!

i get sound in the reciever but not the tv coming from the ps3 also if I have anything going through the reciever which goes to the tv via HDMI no sound on the tv and I"ve tried every possible setting
Turn the ps3 off when it goes red press power button till it beeps twice and then turn it on and the picture will be on your screen that reset your ps3
