My treadmill is brand new and on first use the code e09 kept coming on even though the treadmill is unfolded.after folding it up and unfolding it again and taking out the lock pin and alot of jiggling about it finally worked.but this keeps happening whenever i switch it on.which is very frustrating!!!!

HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE
1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand.
Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. It may be necessary
to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to
the left. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch
knob.
2. Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands and lower
it to the floor. CAUTION: Do not grip only the plastic
foot rails or drop the frame to the floor. Bend your legs
and keep your back straight.

Hello there, If you stand behind the machine you should see the safety latch mechanism (round knob on the long section in the middle when the unit is raised) You will need to push up slightly on the walking belt section while pulling out the knob located on the safety rod. While pulling out the knob lower the unit about 3 inches and then release the knob. If you release the knob too soon it will catch back in the hole again. This should release the unit.
