Cracked deck

I bought a second-hand York Inspiration, and it developed the same problem. Upon dismantling the treadmill, I discovered the deck was cracked in two areas. My solution was to put a section of chipboard over the crack on the underside, securing each section with 12 screws. I used 16mm board. I cannot remember the other dimensions of the board, but it needs to fit between the deck support rails lengthwise, and widthwise between the screw holes for the foot rails. It is best to tape the edges of the boards to ensure they don't shed any debris once fitted.

The Inspiration manual contains an exploded diagram to assist with dismantling the treadmill. If you do not have one, it is available as a PDF on the web.

It's fairly straightforward to dismantle the treadmill.

The only part of any difficulty is the foot rails; once the screws for the foot rails are removed they stay put, as they are stuck down with strong double sided tape. Ease them off gradually. Once you have removed them, mark the front of each with a bit of tape, as the screwholes are not symmetric.

Comes up err when u turn it on in the speed window, and wont even move

Adjust the Speed Sensor:1)Make sure the sensor Speed is as close as possible to the pulley withouttouching it. You will see a magneton the face of the pulley; 2)make sure the sensor is aligned with themagnet. There is a screw thatholds the sensor in place that needs to be loosened to adjust thesensor. Re-tighten the screw whenfinished.sincerely.E.CUADRAMANAGUA,NICARAGUA.C.A
