I want to know, if I change my nameservers to another company, how will they know how to associate my domain name with my site?

I have a domain bought and maintained at one company. I have just built a site at another company, using the domain name they provided me. Now, I want my domain name to be associated with my site. So, the process is, apparently, to simply change the nameservers for my domain name to the new company's nameservers. But the new company must have hundreds if not thousands of sites, under their "nameservers". So, how in the heck would they know how to associate my particular domain name to my particular site??? I mean, if they gave me a nameserver that was a little more independant, with some codes or something that would help them identify my site, then I could understand, you change the nameservers to a unique nameserver, then bingo, my domain points to my site, but I am scared to simply change the nameservers for my domain name to their generic nameservers, perhaps my domain may just get lost in internet neverland???

Don't worry they will know it since you will specify the domain in your hosting account control panel.

What is bkhost premium dns?

Free DNS
If you've got a tiny personal website for something like holiday photos to share with friends and family, and you don't expect it to grow and don't care about uptime, free hosting is the right choice for you. There's no shortage of free DNS hosting providers to choose from, and each has a variety of different features. Some come equipped with firewall policies, filtering, and rate limiting and blocking to help prevent DDoS attacks. The majority of free services include facilities to manage the records of your domain zone and typically offer Dynamic DNS.
If yours is a casual site or simply something you are doing for fun and it's not the end of the world if the site is down for a couple of days, free DNS services should work for you. On the other hand, if it's a commercial site that is driving your whole business, then you should choose a service that will safeguard your site with better support and uptime. These are the key differences between opting for free DNS and going for a premium service.
Premium DNS
Every commercial website should use premium DNS to guarantee they are both safe and available to their customers. There are distinct advantages of paying for a DNS: improved site availability, faster performance, and minimal security gaps.
Premium DNS involves pointing your domain to premium nameservers and setting up your records on these nameservers.
These are the typical features you should expect from premium DNS services:
  • Many premium DNS service providers offer Dynamic DNS (DDNS). DDNS automatically maps internet domain names to IP addresses, allowing you to access your home computer from anywhere in the world. Unlike standard DNS, which only works with static DNS, DDNS is designed to work with changing IP addresses, which is a good fit for home networks.
  • Secondary DNS - This premium feature is particularly useful if you manage your nameservers and want a backup or redundancy. A secondary nameserver will ensure that your domain never goes offline.
  • Management interface - A well-configured DNS dashboard lets you manage and make updates to your DNS easily online, instead of going through customer services to redirect your DNS using different record types, for example.
  • Reporting - Advanced reporting is available with premium services, including analytics that report the source country and record type for queried hostnames.
  • Administrative Control - Admin controls let you delegate administrator privileges with ease.
  • Two-way authentication - Protect your domain with two-factor login authentication.
  • DNS templates - Save time by applying DNS templates to the domain names in your Premium DNS Dashboard. This is useful if you are managing multiple websites.
  • Fast Performance - Redundancy - Guaranteed service level agreement for DNS resolution between 99-100% with paid DNS plans.
  • Queries per month - Premium DNS services guarantee domain resolution on millions of queries per month.
  • Close security gaps - Hackers can use your IP address to point to a malicious IP address to trick users into divulging important information and sometimes even money. Premium DNS hosting provides an additional layer of security for your website and thus additional protection from hackers.
  • DNSSEC support - Increase your domain name security with managed DNSSEC. Premium nameservers provide support and security for top level domains to protect them from attacks. Hackers have been known to infiltrate the DNS lookup process, directing users to deceptive sites for password and account collection, for example. DNSSEC is employed to protect domains from any vulnerabilities in the DNS system.
  • First-class customer service. DNS can get a bit tricky, so having professional support as and when you need it is invaluable to a smooth running website.
  • It is easy to use. Experts and beginners will find the interface for managing their nameservers simple to navigate.
Paid DNS services offer advanced features to manage your DNS, combined with a higher level of support and faster loading times. If you want super fast IP address resolution, you need a premium nameserver.
The fact of the matter is, extremely quick websites leave a good impression. People are impatient online. If you can shave a few milliseconds off the time it takes for people to discover your site via DNS, you might see some marginal gains.
Fast speeds aren't only to impress your site visitors; you'll want to impress Google with your site's loading and availability. If your site loading times aren't up to scratch, your search engine rankings and subsequent click rates could take a hit (DNS capabilities make up a huge part of site load times).

What is bkhost server name?

What is bkhost Name Server?
Each website is identified by an IP address. When you want to access any website, you will type IP into the browser bar. Because IP is extremely confusing and difficult to remember, "domain names" were born to help us.

However, the domain name cannot replace the IP address, it only serves as an intermediary to lead to the IP address you want to access. Therefore, a server is needed to perform the process of translating domain names into IP addresses, and that server is called the Name Server (or DNS Server) - the domain name server.

What are the characteristics of bkhost Name Server?
The Nameserver maintains a directory of domain names that match certain IP addresses (computers). Information from all names on the Internet is gathered in a registration center.

Therefore, the Name Server can allow users to access the website with a familiar domain name, instead of having to remember a complex series of IP address numbers.

Nameserves on-line can access information at registration centers up to 8 hours after registration of international domain names .COM and .NET time can be updated up to 48 hours for all names Other domain extension (sub-domain). This is the time period referred to as updating information between the Nameserver together.

If the DNS server is used to talk about the server system that has the DNS domain function, then the Name Server is the address of the DNS server cluster (DNS server).

I want to transfer domain name from one company to another I do not know how to do it?

When you register or transfer a domain to your website account, your server operator designates you as the owner of the domain and places the domain in its database for management and use with your website account.

If you want to transfer your domain name to another registrar, the first step is to unlock the domain name.

Note: To protect against fraudulent transfers, most servers place domains in a "Protected" or "Locked" status. Unfortunately, this can prevent legitimate transfers as well.

To unlock your domain name:

1. Log in to your website account.

2. Click My Domains.

3. Click the View All link. A list of all your domain names and the websites they are associated with appears.

Click on the plus sign next to a domain to expand the information box.
Click on the minus sign next to a domain to hide the information box.

4. Click edit domain lock for the domain name that you want to unlock. (If you do not see the edit domain lock link, you might need to click on the plus sign to expand the information box for your domain name.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to unlock your domain name.

Once you have unlocked your domain name, the next step is to request your transfer authorization code. For your protection, all domain transfers require a unique authorization code; again, this is to prevent fraudulent transfers.

To request a transfer authorization code:

1. Log in to your website account.

2. Click My Domains.

3. Click the View All link. A list of all your domain names and the websites they are associated with will probably appear.

Click on the plus sign next to a domain to expand the information box.
Click on the minus sign next to a domain to hide the information box.

4. Click the email authorization code for the desired domain name. If you do not see the email authorization code link, you might need to click on the plus sign to expand the information box for your domain name.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to have the authorization code sent to your administrative contact email address.

Once you've completed these two steps, you can initiate a domain transfer out of your website account through another third-party registrar. After you've found a company that meets your needs, you can submit a Change of Registrar Application through their website to initiate a transfer request for your domain name.

When you have transferred your domain name to your new registrar, please create a new help ticket, notifying us of this completion. Once we receive this confirmation, you server can remove the domain name from your website account, preventing any future billing.

This link will help you find other registrars:

Notes:

Your server operator cannot remove the domain name upgrade from your website account unless they receive notification that your domain name has been successfully transferred out of itsservice.
Transferring your domain name to a new registrar does not constitute closure of your website account. If this is your intent, please remember that a closure request must be made separately.
If you have Domain Privacy enabled for your domain name, it will need to be disabled before the transfer can take place. Contact the operator directly so that your request canbe acted upon. Very important if you are on some type of automatic payment plan using a credit card.
