Obviously I have not put it back together properly but can NOT find how to do so on any documentation (lid photos are not helpfful). Thanks!

The paper roller mechanism at the top left of the machine is very poorly designed and only compounded by the lack of documentation roller and other components. After fiddling with the plastic parts I can send a fax or print a copy, but then the problem recurs. It is maddening.

ADF is a P.O.S. and I love HP products. I guess their quality is going down hill. So far this is the only problem I am having with this unit. The ADF pulls in the paper and either tears it to shreds or it will curl it, crumble it, pull it in and turn the paper so that your image/copy is not straight. Worked great for about 6 months, now it's starting to get worse.

Hey HP, how about producing reliable products like you used to....

It takes two or three attemps to get the top feed to take the paper. Have also had a problem with it not taking the paper correctly and tearing.

I have used HP printers for 20 years and purchased 4 this year. No plans to buy another HP until they start building good printers again.

HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer

Printer gives repeated "clear paper jam" messages and even though there is no paper anywhere in the paper path it will not clear.

The stack stopper on my HP L7680 All-in-One printer came off. How does it go back on?

There is a flimsy cover that poorly snaps in above roller ADF assembly of the HP L7680 when it is in its normal operating position. This cover is the one that covers the blue release button. The stack stopper hangs from this small black plastic cover via the two round pegs on end of this cover and floats up and down between the two rollers. Really amazingly flimsy design. Oddly enough when assembled correctly it works.

HP office jet feeder won't work when trying to fax

the little pieces of plastic are the sensor flags which is why it will not feed, those are required to let the machine know that the paper is present in the feeder. No flag no feed. Look at the plastic thing try to figure out where it goes in the feeder if you look close, you will see a spot where they go.

Top feeder won't work properly

hello!

have you tried cleaning the separator pad inside the automatic document feeder?

try to Load one or two sheets of unused plain white full-size paper into the document feeder tray, and then press Start Copy Black to pull the pages through the automatic document feeder. The plain paper releases and absorbs residue from the rollers and separator pad.

If the problem persists, clean the rollers and separator pad manually
