My network key to allow others to log into my wireless.
You should be able to retrive this again or reset it from your wirless router settings.
To access these you'd have to open up a web browser and type in either of the following:
http://192.168.2.1
http://192.168.1.1
If neither of these work then you'll have to find this yourself. The way to do this is:
(assuming you have windows)
Open up a run command (either go to start > run or use the windows key then hit r)
type in cmd.
once your command window opens enter ipconfig
This will then display a list of infromation regarding your internet. dont worry the only thing you need to focus on is the peice of information that starts
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . : 192.168.*.*
Once youve managed to access this page for your router, simply navigate to the wireless section (varies depending on which company your router is from) and look at your WEP encryption key. is it doesnt display it then the best solution would be to change it
Do you have a desktop or other computer that's on the network? Use it to log into the router and retrieve the wireless key.
see this link http://www.columbia.edu/acis/networks/aptnet/linksys/index.html
At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you have a wireless connection icon. right click and view available wireless network...if you see your network there. connect to that network, if secured, then call d-link to verfiy what is your network key. if it is unsecure then you can log on right away.
if that wont allow you to connect then upgrade firmware of router.
