For the KX-TG5672, you should press and hold the Intercom button until the charge indicator flashes. Then press the button to assign the handset # 1, 2 or 3 (keypad 1, 2 or 3). Then press OK on the handset and wait for the handset to beep. These steps must be done within a minute from when the charge indicator flashes. It's best to have the base and the handset close together when you register the handset.

Panasonic has the manual for the TX-TGA560 available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTGA560-MULTI.PDF . (This manual covers both the KX-TGA560B and KX-TGA560M.) The manual for the KX-TG5672 is available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG5671S.pdf .

If you still have a problem, try removing the battery from the handset and disconnecting the power cord from the base (from the wall and the base itself). Wait a few minutes and then reconnect the power cord and the battery for the handset. (Make sure that the base has power and the adapter is warm.) Then try registering again.

I hope this helps.

How to open battery opening on Panasonic KX TGA560b

Look at the back of the KX-TGA560B handset. You should see a notch. Press down firmly on the notch on the battery cover side and slide the cover towards the bottom of the handset.

This is shown on page 3 in the handset manual which is available on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TGA560B.html . The direct link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/accessory/phone_fax/om/kx-tga560_mul_om.pdf .

I hope this helps.

The telephone batteries are fully charged; however when I attempt to use the telephone I receive a message stating, "No link to base. Move closer to base, try again." The telephone is very close...

Check your user's manual for registration, or RE-REGISTER the handset to the base. In essence, it involves stepping to the registration on the handset, pushing the handset locator button on the base, then saying OK on the handset. They will sync up.

TOO FAR FROM BASE

Hi! This may cure your problem!
Re-registering the handset
If “No link to base. Move closer
to base, try again.
” is displayed
even when the handset is near the base
unit, you may need to re-register the
handset to the base unit.
Important:
LMake sure the base unit is not being
used.
LHave the handset and base unit near
each other when re-registering the
handset.
LKX-TG5422 and KX-TG5423 only:
Confirm the extension number of the
handset which has lost its link to the
base by placing the handset on the base
unit or charger.
If you accidentally assign another
handset’s extension number to it, the
other extension will stop functioning.
1 Handset:
Press {MENU}.
2 Scroll to “Initial setting” by
pressing {V} or {^}, then press {>}.
3 Scroll to “Registration” by pressing
{V} or {^}, then press {>}.
4 KX-TG5421 base unit:
Press and hold {HANDSET
LOCATOR
} until the CHARGE
indicator flashes.
KX-TG5422 base unit:
Press and hold the handset locator
button that corresponds to the handset
you want to re-register ({HANDSET
LOCATOR
1} or {HANDSET
LOCATOR
2}) until the CHARGE
indicator flashes.

Below is a link that will take you to the instruction manual for your phone.

No link to base move closer to base

Your getting this message because the radio portion of the handset or/and base is not communicating with each other. This can be temporary or fatal. You can try re-registering the handset(s) to the base by following the directions in the manual, its fairly easy to do for any model. If that does not work, and you have more than one handset not working with this problem, then it sounds as if your base needs repair or replacing.
