Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method.

SOURCE: 'The settings saved on this computer for the

Well, follow the steps below for a better way to configure your connection:

Please follow the steps on a computer connected to the router so as to check the network key:

1. Open the browser(Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2. Access the router usually http://192.168.0.1 else try http://www.routerlogin.com
3. Login to the router with the Username as admin and password as password (unless you have changed it).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Check if 'WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)' or 'WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)' is selected under 'Security Options'.
6. If WPA-PSK is selected, copy the code entered in the passphrase.
7. If WEP is selected, copy the code entered in the key that has been checked.

This is the code required for connecting the wireless computer to the routers' wireless network.

In some cases, for security reasons the passphrase might show as asterisks. In this case type a new password and click apply. You will then have to use the same password for all the wireless devices connecting to the network.

Now perform the steps below on the wireles vista computer:

1. Click START, Click Control Panel then click classic view in left hand side menu.
2. In the main screen, open up NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER.
3. In the left hand side menu open up MANAGE WIRELESS NETWORKS.
4. If you see any name in the list, please select the name and click remove.
5. Once the list is empty, click on ADD, select the first option, ADD A NETWORK THAT IS IN RANGE OF THE COMPUTER.
6. Click on your network name SSID and click on connect. If you have a password setup on the router enter the security key.
7. This should setup the wireless network.

I hope the steps above will help resolve the issue. If you need any further help please email us back so that we can continue to work on a solution.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion the highest FixYa rating. If you cannot rate this post with the highest rating, then please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

Settings saved on other computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network now

This error message usually occurs in windows vista & win7 if the settings saved on the computer doesnt matches with the settings in the router...
You can get rid of this message by deleting the list of preferred networks from your computer...
To delete the preferred networks, follow the method given below...
Open control panel > open Network & Internet(double click) > open Network & Sharing center(double click)
On the far hand side left you will have an option called "Manage wireless networks" If you click that, you will see the list of preferred networks that are already saved in your computer... Now select your network, make a right click and select "Remove network" Select "ok" for all the warnings...
Thats it..! you are done..! Now search for the list of available wireless networks in range, you must be able to see your network name without any error mesages... Select your network and click connect, it will ask for the network key(if you have setup one)... Enter the key and get connected...! You must be able to go online now..!

My question is ''thes settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network'' how to connect the wireless internet on my computer now? PLEASE see

See there are some old settings saved on your computer for the same wireless network name.
I believe the operating system on your computer is windows VISTA / 7 .
Now you will need to remove the network from the preferred network list. then add the new network on your computer and you will be able to connect to the network. Make sure that you have all the wireless settings of your network. If you are not sure about the wireless settings of your network then you will need to check the wireless settings of the network.
