I think my machine is a little older than this, but its a Delonghi Magnifica. Husband accidentally poured water where the beans go (through the burr grinder). Now it doesn't work. The grinder is spinning, but beans arent going through. Emptied the hopper, can see the burrs moving, but it won't grind beans.
Have you tried grinding a few cups of uncooked rice through the mechanism to see if this will shift the dried on coffee grounds. It worked for a friend of mine after several attempts
Don't feel too bad, happens all the time. The grounds have dried to concrete and blocked up the grinder. If you or your husband are intrepid you might try removing the grinder assembly and chiseling it all out but usually a replacement grinder assembly is required to restore good performance. Low level of difficulty to replace.

There are two reasons for this usually. Either the grinder is jammed or the grinding wheel or wheels have broken. Your machine needs to go to a repair shop to be looked at.

I had this problem too. The instruction manual says to turn the steam knob only half way counter-clockwise after pressing the button for 5 seconds, but you need to turn it ALL the way to have the procedure start (at least, that was the solution with my machine). Good luck!

Delonghi Magnifica comes up with waste tray full light when there is nothing in the tray. It doesn't make coffee, the grinder is rotating and appears to be clear. Could there be a blockage below the grinder, if so how do I access it.
