Belkin how to connect to hub

Hi, when you connect a USB hub, operating system (i.e. Windows, Mac, etc ) it should install automatically a generic driver for it, only when you connect a device to USB hub, in example, a camera, you have to install drivers for that specific device according to its installation guide.

The belkin F5u234 is a usb hub ment to connect multiple usb devices to one computer . you need a printer sharing switch such as the
IOGEAR USB 2.0 Printer Auto Sharing Switch GUB211

maybe not compatible

First of all THe Belkin F5u237 is not a USB Drive. It is a USB Hub. If your running Windows XP it should see any device connected to the hub. If it dosen't see anything connected you may need to add the power supply to the hub.

download the latest drivers for it. look up belkin drivers in google

The hub draws it power from the computer and cannot deliver enough power for the devices connected to the hub.
Does the Belkin hub have a power socket? If so get a power adapter for it. If this isn't available then purchase a powered USB hub to use with the computer.

Try turning everything off, wait a couple of seconds and then turn it back on.  Also try disabling McAffee to test.  When you go to printers and faxes on the PC, what is the status of your printer?

Normally the USB hub is design to connect to the device that doesn't consume electricity like handy drive,MP3 player.So in your case the multifunctional printer, I think this one really need a direct connection to your PC,instead of going through USB hub.Try to move some other device to connect to this hub and connect your printer directly to PC..due to many restriction with printer like electricity,port,etc...
