On GE Washer Machines, E43 error code means "excessive brake time". The brake and speed sensor will need to be checked. You can try resetting the machine by disconnecting the power for 20-30 minutes. Keep in mind that your right model number is WPRB9220D0WW.

You can eliminate if it's the speed sensor by entering the service model. To do this:
- Turn off the washer at the power pad
- Remove power by unplugging the cord for 15 or more seconds
- Plug back in and within 30 seconds simultaneously press and hold the POWER and START pads for 3 seconds
- Should now display the model codes
- There are a bunch of tests but we are interested in the spin fast portion, so press the custom 2 pad until the display shows SF ( Spin Fast )
- Hit START pad... it should start spinning and display the rpm's

If it does this the speed sensor is working and the problem is the brake which means the transmission has to be replaced. Parts replacement can be find in THIS LINK.

If you do not feel able to resolve it, we recommend you call the technician to do it. Now you know what the problem.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

E43 code on atf6000eso washer

Thanks for your post, friend!

Based off the error code you were able to provide your Frigidaire washer is providing you're an "E43" error code and that means your control panel needs to be replaced. This is not a simple DIY job and I would highly recommend reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the replacement part is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this information helps to some degree. -Matt

Error code

E62 = System Contact Error. System contact error is just a fancy way of saying the washer has a loose connection. This connection can be anywhere on the machine, so check all connection plugs by unplugging and re-connecting all connections one at a time. If you don't find a loose connection, replace the control panel.

Have GE Profile Washer Model # WPRB 9250. Was working fine and then I came home from work yesterday and the normal electronic display looked odd - it was all black except for the time remaining screen...

Hello:

The code means "excessive drive system brake time" which means there is a problem stopping your drum in normal amount of time. Sometimes there is a small leak down on breaks and controls. It can also be a simple computer glitch in which case you need to reset your washer. if you open your control panel in the back there should be a sheet of paper with detailed descriptions of all the error codes and how to reset your washer( push certain buttons in allotted amount of time)

If the reset doesn't work I'm afraid you are looking at a pretty costly repair..

Good luck

Error code E43 on display of WPRB9220DCC GE Washer

This is the beginning of a leaking seal in the gear box. Some units have a pan to catch the leak from getting to floor. Seal needs to be replaced, otherwise gearbox will fail (lot more $$$$)

Kenmore 417. 4405200 Front Load Washer error code E43

It's a bad wax motor inside the door latch. The diagnostics are buggy and do not test it properly. It should measure about 1.5K ohms, and when 120 VAC is applied to it, it should extend in about a minute. Part number 12002535 is $10 to $15.
