I tired the reset on the over temp. Did not work. How do I check the igniter/ gas valve and thermostat?

Hi,

I want to first make sure that your dryer is serviced up. so i want you to do these steps.
Most of the problems will be resolved doing these......

As clothes are tumble dried, they drop fibres. Most of this fluff is trapped by the lint filter and this needs to be checked and cleaned regularly. Lint also builds up in the vent pipe and around the electric motor in the rear of the dryer.

1.clean lint filter

Wait until the dryer cools, open the door and lift out the lint filter.
Gently brush off lint using your fingers.
On many models, the filter may also be washed. Check your manual for instructions.
If the filter is damaged in any way, you should replace it.

2.Vacuum area where lint filter sits:

The area where the lint filter sits should be vacuumed .
Remove the lint filter, and use a narrow vacuum nozzle to remove dust and lint from the fitting.

3.Clean inside the tumble dryer:




1. Make sure the dryer is cool, switch it off and unplug it.
2. Unscrew the retaining screws on the back panel, and lift it off. Vacuum the blower area.
3. Also vacuum around the vent pipe connection.
4. Replace the back panel and refit all the screws.


4.Check tumble dryer vent hose:
Wait for the dryer to cool. Unplug the vent hose and inspect its entire length for snags in the pipe.
Make sure the vent is not obstructed on the outside wall, and fit a flap or screen to keep out small animals.
If your vent pipe is punctured or damaged, you should replace it.



To avoid dryer problems,
Make sure the dryer is level and does not rock, and consult the manufacturer's instructions for the maximum weight of clothing to dry at one time. Also, make sure clothes have been spun-dry before putting them into the dryer.

well first check the Thermal area inside the unit, if you have an idea doing this, it could possibly easily for you to do the work.. on the thermal area check for any burn fuse or any faulty parts relating or was connected on the thermal area.

you need to change the motor or some fuses but mostly they are whole together.
pls change the motor if you can get new one.

you cant do nothing sorry it will get damaged

Easy fix. Wipe the capacitance sensing metal stripes located right below the inside of the filter. Make sure the 2 metal stipes are very clean. This measures the capacitance of the clothes and constantly records differences till the clothes are dry.if **** is on these then you would have failure. Porvavor.

hi my dryer no longer gets hot enough to dry my clothes without
having to run it for almost 2hrs for one load...this is a big problem..

can someone help me find a answer on model# DC-382WD. I search this model and it tells me it doesn't exist???

Could be just that. Thin coins like that can get into the drum baffles (those 3 "vanes" inside the drum that lift the clothes). It's a simple matter to open the top, remove the baffle(s) and clean them out.
